It might not help but depending on where the vents are on the laptop, having a book or something to elevate the laptop could help -- if there are underside vents that would otherwise be blocked by having it on a table

possible reasons: cheaters, which isnt likely because well, you said they were playstation users, evidences was misread or you werent actually on nightmare, and it couldve been changed to nightmare after the game was finished by the host, tho this can be discarded if you were the host.

If you have three confirmed evidence + ghost orbs it is probably a mimic. I'm not on my computer so I can't check but I think mimic also has ultraviolet as evidence. I don't remember the others

There isn't a similar update "announced" Phasmo's journey to 1.0 release is a series of many updates, that includes reworking maps that still use unity assets. 1.0 ends with Horror 2.0, which is slated for next year. The movie won't take away time from game development, it's done entirely by a third party studio.

AS FAR AS I remember, such a "bug" can be done if you bug the presets of equipments, i.e. two players load presets at the same time. From this, one player (not the host) sees his own things, others can see the host's things (if he loaded them). Therefore, for the player who bugged the preset, the salt will be somehow “available” for the wraith
