Ugh, I hate the "capture Photo of the Ghost" objective, because if I don't have a Cursed Possession that can trigger a ghost event, or the evidence has DoTs (and not a Goryo), I have no real way of guaranteeing an event that shows the Ghost. I hate the randomness of Events, and would rather the objective be something I can (reasonably) control. But if I set the Cursed Possession to be a specific one (like Summoning Circle), it severly impacts my reward multiplier.

If your headphones are good enough you can hear the door slam from mostly anywhere on a small to medium map. Also if it’s the event that walks towards you it won’t blink, which will be a good indicator that’s just an event

The front door method is not always true. If a ghost event happens in the room where the front door is, the event can close that door without locking it.
Checking light switches is a better way to differentiate a hunt from a ghost event.

It was done for gameplay reasons. Because at one point ghosts could interact with light switches during hunts. This caused a lot of breaker overloads and was annoying. So make light switches unable to move made sense and became a core gameplay mechanic

It's proximity

You have to get close enough with the music box before it will appear and begin walking towards it

Music box drains up to 77% sanity in proximity for the whole song. If you hit 0, it stops and starts a cursed hunt. Ghost sings within 20m, starts walking event within 5m. If ghost reaches the box or does walking event more than 5 seconds, it starts a cursed hunt. If you throw the box, it starts a cursed hunt.

The explanation is in Guides > Weather. The button for it just adjusts the sound speed (and the BPM finder speeds), but the actual numbers always stay the same, I think b/c it's just what many people are used to, so 1.7 is always "normal" even on 150% speed.

I don't know. If not spamming is a thing, the cooldown should reset if we interact with the lights before the cooldown is over.
But if the cooldown doesn't reset, then spamming shouldn't be an issue, but we still didn't have that much abilities used in over 30 minutes.
