Does line of sight speed increase persist across hunts? Lets say a hunt ends and the ghost was pretty fast at the end due to LoS speedup. Next hunt, does that reset or does it start fast from the previous hunt's LoS increase?

Lol i went into the map knowing I had 85% sanity, set a cruci and writting book down (i had UV and freezing atp) and AS I was walking out it tried to hunt. My first thought was either it's a Jinn or Demon...it was a Jinn my sanity fell from 85% to 10% in not even a few seconds ahahahahaha oh my, it used it's ability um...a few times 😅

Yeah, LOS only works when the ghost sees you and it doesn't go across hunts, so it does reset when it ends or it looses sight of you

Hmm, I am trying to tell whether or not this ghost is a Phantom or a Jinn. I went from like 85 sanity to 65, it did an event. Ghost does not seem visible on photo, but the event did not last long enough to drain 20% of sanity (and I didn't touch ghost during the event).

I have solid proof of a ghost: Ghost orb, ultraviolet, Spirit box... according to the book, there is no such ghost... I'm confused xD My guess: A "mimic" but there is not freezing temps.

Freezing temps can be a bit of a pain in the butt because the ghosts are constantly wandering

But yes it's probably mimic unless you didn't get orb and saw a random reflection

Absolutely certain. Me and my 3 friends suffer from the same issue and we're running different rigs (but gaming rigs nonetheless). We all use monitors running 144hz and above

Every single texture edge is jagged. Text and furniture/objects have this jagged weird as hell vibrating touch to it when moving causing headaches/nausea. We played for months before the halloween/blood moon event and had to abruptly, outright quit after it.

Sadly their issue isnt something tech support can fix. Its a unity thing for animations to be locked at 60fps, unity limitations. While the game itself runs above 60fps.

I use a 144hz monitor and I have the same problem with the objects/text on the wall and it looks like I'm not the only one hehe. (with the blurry/jitter problem etc)

I was investigating why setting the monitor to 60hz does not have that problem, a potential cause is that the items on the wall are set to 60fps, the "easy solution" is that the devs should unlock it so that this problem does not happen.

In a post from blurbusters they talk about it, it explains practically why this happens if we have the hz higher than 60hz and why it is solved when we set our monitor to 60hz. (in Unity engine)

In summary: Items on the wall are locked to 60fps = if you set your monitor to 60 fps you won't have any problems with that items.

If you have a monitor higher than 60hz (like 90hz, 100hz, 144hz etc) all your environment will be at that FPS but the items/assets on the wall being LOCKED at 60fps will look badly, as we see it. (and enter into “conflict”.)

Again I don't know if this is the problem 100% but it seems to be so, I don't know if the devs know it but if not It, would be good if someone could send it to them so that they know the "possible problem" and the "easy solution" to it.. (I apologize for my English as it is not my mother tongue)

Hi all. Fairly new to the game and attempting apocalypse challenges. Ive got everything I need except one objective.. Its to prevent a hunt with a crucifix. No matter where I put them in the ghost room even when it moves its not stopping the hunt. Are they bugged or am I doing something wrong?

It only prevents in a radius and ghost must choose to hunt while its within that radius. And since its apoc. The ghost can roam heavily and also change rooms. So like. Have fun

So, my fiance is a longtime fan of the game since early access (I have prestige on my steam profile for example since we owned it there first but I have a novice level of knowledge compared to her, she is just scared to play lol), and we have started playing together recently.

We found something that I would like some other people to test out. When trying to get a spirit box hit, if we sing "Where are youuu" like in the form of Blink 182's I Miss You we always get a response

Can someone else please experiment and verify if this seems to be a real favourite song of the ghosts in game for some reason or if its just the only thing that speech recognition hits on because of our Australian accents 😭
