system voice has to do with voice rec, specifically Windows, and there are many things that can cause it to not work properly that are not the mic's fault

It does, System Voice (Windows) or Voice (Vosk) handle voice recognition, but it's usually not the mic's fault if it's not working

How exactly is a Mimic who is mimicking a Demon work? For example, if I smudge it while it is mimicking a Demon, but then decides to mimic a different ghost after the hunt, will it be able to hunt after 60 seconds? Because it set the timer for hunting again while it was still pretending to be a demon? And how does it work the other way around? For example, it it was mimicking a Spirit during a hunt but then changes to another ghost after the hunt, will it still need to wait the 3 minutes to hunt again, because it was pretending to be a Spirit when I smudged it? Or will it go off the new ghosts smudge timer for hunts?

I prestige whenever I hit 100, my very first time I waited until I was, like, level 120, but I ended up caving and wanting the badges lol. Besides, you can get up to decent equipment fairly quickly. I may stop at prestige 9, because I really like the badge and I think IX looks cool, but I'll probably keep going to 20 lol

Besides the ID cards (and loadout slots 🥱 ), I just like having constant progression. And in the past they've talked about having some customizations unlockable via prestige, so they could still add rewards

The Mimic indeed chooses a random age for the Thaye (as confirmed by cjdxn), and I'm pretty sure it will reroll the age if it chooses to mimic the Thaye again.

The way I see the smudge timer is working for any ghost is if the incense did work, it will first check the ghost type before applying a set timer. When The Mimic imitates something else, it basically becomes that ghost for the check, meaning that if it changes the imitated ghost during the smudge timer, the check will not be made again and the timer therefore stays unchanged.

The only thing that some people don't like about t3 salt is that it slows the ghost down during hunts
Personally, I don't find that to be an issue as I would be fully aware of where I placed the salt (so I would know where it slows down), and slowing the ghost down can sometimes be useful like when you are being chased for example.

The funniest challenge to do with my friends is just click the random custom button while using my hand to cover the screen, then walk inside trying to figure out the ghost without knowing whatever we're at all

Okay, really weird thing just happened with a Moroi. My wife said she heard clown music and it stopped when she took off the mic, so she knew it was Phas. I walked to the same room and did not hear it. I put on her mic and tracked it down. Turns out, it was a radio playing clown music. As soon as she walked into the room it was coming from, the ghost evented her. I did not hear it at all on my mic. Not one bit. I know Moroi drains a certain players sanity more, so is this a Moroi ability?

does anybody have any tips for apocalypse 3? I am trying to find a way to "hack" (NOT CHEAT) it. For example, keep restarting until I get a certain ghost or something. Anybody have any recommendations? I want a ghost that I can identify very quickly. I would also prefer that the ghost not be super powerful (I have never successfully escaped during a hunt before). Maybe (probably) I'm asking for too much but I thought I'd see if the experts have any tips.

You can identify a lot of the ghosts with a parabolic

Get all of the equipment you want up to the door throw it through open up the door don't walk in then grab the parabolic microphone smudge lighter crucifix walk into the office

Once you're in the office wait for a hunt see if you can hear anything then see if you can hear anything with the parabolic microphone if you're on the same floor and you seem close to the ghost that might be a good run as long as you don't have something stupid like witnessing event

paramic in large maps, u can throw objects through the door so cruxi for excample to stop hunts and have a hideout nearby 24/7 and reaserch them. Also i recommend trying do apoc 3 but customize it abit till u get the hang of it

also keep leaving until u have do-able objectives like blowing out a firelight, capture ghost pic and emf or motion sensor

Now you also do not want to have the ghost attention the entire time there's no reason to try to loop it when you going 0 mph.
If the ghost is close enough you can try to get its attention the last 8 seconds or so of the hunt.
Hit the smudge take two pictures while walking backwards and by the time it gets to you it should have ended the hunt hopefully

There's a BPM meter on the cheat sheet that will help you don't have to use everything else if you don't want to but that BPM meter helps

Yes, the shapeshift is mid hunt, if you loop it or see the ghost for a decent amount of time you should be able to tell, but would recomend 2 hunts to be safe

Sit next to the piano listen for the ghost if it's not too close try the parabolic listen for the speed see if you can identify it.
Then you do not want the attention of the ghost till near the end yeah 8 seconds

If you're in control of how long the hunt has left you have a lot better chance of not being killed cuz it's going to be hard to outrun the ghost

And for deo if you do it right you can just go up and down the stairs in the cathedral just got to be really careful with the turns

It helps doesn't hurt to do a little bit of practicing beforehand like I said either by turning lose items off or something like that of course you'll be pissed if you get everything you needed lol

The mare is the only ghost who has an ability to insta switch lights off when turned on.
But the ghost CAN in fact switch the light off coincidentally.
