just make sure to turn off all lights source and move around while checking the orbs to not miss them.
and yeah occasionally check and see if ghost changed their fav room

Orbs can also spawn inside objects in the room, had a few spawn inside cars in the garage and the crates of the basement on Willow.

The spawn point will move around the room over time, but you do get the odd spots. Best to check with a moving video camera and try again at a later time.

I noticed yesterday while playing the event matches that I was getting super unlucky with my orbs. Normally when I play MP I take videocam with me because other people grab EMF and thermo when looking for the room. What I noticed is the first time I scanned the room after identifying it as the ghost room, I saw no orbs. After dropping the camera and hauling other things around for 5-10 minutes, I checked the cam again and voila- suddenly there were orbs. I don't know if I was just getting unlucky or if the orbs were on a short delay - my point is, if you can't find orbs try leaving it for a few minutes and come back to it, because sometimes the orbs just have to reposition in the room a bit

If you're comfortable with it, a hunt will give you raiju or obake fairly easily. For raiju you can even hide - just place one electronic outside your hiding spot and listen to footsteps to see if it speeds up as it passes the electronic

@south violet you are not stupid. You’re struggling with playing the game alone and really learning all those nuances on how to get good. Many of the KG partners here have some really good instructional videos on what to watch out for. But I always tell people to focus on the evidence. Then once you get good at that add on the objectives. In all that find out where the hiding spots are and choose your favorite ones. And if the ghost hunts you can smudge The ghost and get to that spot. The smudge then gives you some time to get some evidence, take meds if you got them, all that. Giving yourself more time if you need it.

I mostly play with fam but if it also helps, I used wrote down just 1 behavior of a few ghosts at a time… like Hantu freezing breath with breaker off, 6 fingers on a hand for Obake, Oni not doing the air all event, and Thayes aging over time. Then, once I feel I got those in my head I move on to others. Don’t try to memorize all at once. That’ll help.
