I think I was saying this before but the mechanic was re used from last year (not that the blasters even touch it anyway) and last year and ever since I played the game it was always way more casual than that you could get your chekmarks on whatever maps in a few hours and not have to worry about it.

I feel like the old system was way more fit for casual players which I think alot of the playerbase is. The route that they took only really benefits the blasters and the sweats.

How 2 lewp:do this on a custom where you don't lose your items and don't be afraid to die. you will die plenty. also, for practice, play a bunch without sprint (use smudges when needed, medium hunt duration). when you turn sprint back on you feel like a god.

1. Pick a looping spot, some you must stand up straight and let ghost see you, some you can crouch on

​

Some looping spots you can crouch at (ghost is slower because it can't see you, but you may need to use your radio/flashlight to keep it from roaming away)

​

• Tanglewood - Kitchen Counter

​

• Willow - Kitchen Counter

​

• Grafton - Kitchen Counter

​

Important: Most ghosts, if they can see you, will speed up over time. Crouch looping avoids this. If crouch looping, try your best to keep the ghost from seeing you by following the rules below.

​

Some looping spots you stand at (little bit tougher to get used to, but super super easy to use when you are used to it)

​

• Tanglewood - Dining Room Table

​

• Ridgeview - Dining Room Table

​

• Willow - Living Room Couch (clockwise is best because ghost gets stuck on a table and gives you more distance)

​

• Point Hope - Living Room Coffee Table (super short, so it's easier to crouch, though the ghost will still see you and speed up)

​

2. Setup at the looping spot

​

Put your motion sensors/salt/crucifix/firelights in the looping spot for easy access and protection and lighting.

​

Chill here at the looping spot until the ghost starts to hunt.

​

3. Looping

​

When it hunts use your radio to get its attention or let it see you. Begin looping using the rules described below:

​

• Stay crouched (if you're looping in one of the crouch loop spots, otherwise you want to stand so you can see the ghost ezpz)

​

• Keep your body pressed against the looping structure

​

• Face yourself toward the center of your looping structure and strafe left/right for your movement, no forward/backward movement needed (this helps to keep an eye on the ghost)

​

• Keep your eyes on the ghost. If you can't see it, you don't know when you'll need to smudge.

​

• Sprint only when you NEED to. Just tap your sprint, don't hold it and use it all at once. I generally only sprint down the LONG side of my looping structure, maybe starting once I get halfway through)

​

• Keep the ghost on the opposite side of the looping structure. (think, keep it 2 corner turns away from you)

​

• Don't go too fast, or the ghost will double back on you because going the other way is now the shorter path to you.

​

If you run out of sprint while looping, don't be afraid to smudge the ghost, keep an eye on where it goes while it's smudged, and reset your positioning to re-initiate looping.

Onryo test is easy js light 3 candle in the ghost room with a crucifix and wait for it to blow all 3 candle once it blows the 3rd one and the crucifix burns it's a onryo if not it's not a onryo
