So, the way I get a Goryo in no evidence, is first verify the ghost room... then if I rule out most other ghosts and the ghost still hasn't changed it's ghost room, I guess Goryo and go... it's usually right.

I don't know if this intended... but breaking line of sight of a Yokai will also seem to confuse it and it will wander off. I've done this several times on Camp Woodwind with the Yokai.

Yeah, cold breath tells you the room is 5C or colder, which is helpful unless you're playing on snowy weather with the breaker turned off to start

One thing I like to do is to make a couple trips at the start to haul gear from the van to the door. Open the door the first trip and it'll give the ghost a few extra seconds to start cooling its room, which can make it easier to find by temps.

Yeah that text tells you if you need to be alone in the room with the ghost or not, and it does matter

Otherwise it's a matter of being in the right spot and a little luck depending on tier of the spirit box. T1 can take a few tries even if you're right on top of the ghost.

Once you get to Professional and higher it doesn't tell if you need to be alone, and it's good etiquette in groups to assume you do and clear out the room if someone is trying spirit box.

lowkey just knowing one ghost well enough can probably help you with apocalypse but probably learn the ghosts as much as possible before going in because its not going to be easy breezy if you dont know what the ghost identifiers are

0 evidence (ghost abilities) and 150% speed ghosts, honestly these are the two things you should be working on - Apoc3 / 15x isn't insurmountable, but you do need good instincts, ability to ID ghosts, patience and a little luck
