Is there any situation on how an Obake can trigger a hunt at 98% sanity?
Just had a strange match where the Crucifix just burned at near max sanity but it was an Obake.

I thought it was a mimic (using demon ability) due to the ghost orbs, and I thought I must of mis-seen the UVs due to the hunt triggering that early would be impossible for a mimic + UVs.

I don't think a ghost can interact with anything for cursed objects, and I have not triggered any of the ghost rabbits.

I got that error too when I unlocked the foil event card. You should be fine there. You won't see the Apoc skull or checkmark when you're in a multiplayer lobby. If you're still unsure if anything is missing, load into a singleplayer lobby and check there.

Usually is due to micro disconnects to the voice servers since its a 3rd party platform that handles game chat.
Making sure router is up to date and connection is strong without packet loss is the general way to fix this

Ghost blows 2 candles out, nothing happens. Ghost hunts, 1 candle is still lit. It spawned basically on top of the candle.

Ok. Watch the clip. Fyi. Since you guys had the lights on it had to step out regardless of ghost to interact or throw items. Thats how the mechanics work. It cannnot theow items or do much with light on for any ghost.
Also. T3 salt, dont stack. The mechanics of that salt means it will most likely be stuck in place due to the "walk back" mechanic being stacked 3 times.
Also UV on proffessional is always 100% chance. Actually all the default difs are 100% chance for UV. Also the hunt started in the hallways. You ran through it escaping before it could kill you
Also to note, mimic cannot have emf5 nor writing.

I have had many ghosts throw things with lights on so i dont think thats true. I stack salt because we wanted to be quick but in future i wont if it glitches. I dont think i ran through it because i didn’t see it. Again not sure how long the buffer time is on prof but my friend said it chased her so it definitely wasn’t near me.

I also know the mimic rules i was just so completely baffled at it being a shade i was trying to make it make sense

How it got ghost writing and all those thrown things still makes no sense because the range on those objects is not so large they can be touched from another room.

If room lights are on, ghost cannot throw item if they are standing in that room. Ghosts can roam outside of the room an throw items inside of a lit room. Their radius of interaction isnt blocked by walls or doors.
Ghosts when during grace period are not visible so yeah it can be confusing if in a panic and i get that.
Ghost writing book is a radius and fairly large one. You can see it when placing, which means shade went into say the bathroom there and wrote in book. It only needs to be outside of the room boundries of whatever room player is in to do those things.

Still do not understand at all how ghosts cannot throw things in lit rooms because i have had polti piles explode in them so i dont know how that mechanic works. Friend said she saw the range on book when it was placed and it wasnt large enough to go to a separate room.

Candles can be blown out with lit room. But their radius is different than the normal interaction range. Its same as the t2 cruci.

Shades can reach candles from outside the room sometimes. Best to test for a shade during a hunt. Place a candle in your looping spot, if it blows it out - probably not a shade 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ghost abilities do not apply to the lit room mechanic. Also dont feel bad. The information of lit room is actually relatively new so it hasnt had time to spread to be like common knowledge.
My advice, and how i do ghosts, is keep fav room light off, keep cruci outside of room where you dont want it to start ever, so you arent blocked from your escape route. Keep light on in room outside of fav room and stand in that room instead of in fav room.
Youll notice a significant increase in evidence gathering this way and also motion sensors to know when a ghost leaves a room and whwre to. For this one you had, it could have saved a lot of confusion on the shade knowing it left the room via motion sensors. I recommend t2 motion sensors since they arw less buggy and can have the double line to know direction.

onryos and their candle/cruci ranges always pmo. Some random people I play with don’t realise that the candles need to be IN the range of the cruci for it to work 😩 I’ve had it hunt outside the range of the candles and hit the cruci range before and they were like “hey!! No onryo!!!”

Alternatively set up a private lobby and there will be an invite code at the top give them that then they press join private lobby pressing in the code, again making sure the region server matches too.
