Ghosts will "ignore" due to their location in relation to the crucifix. Not in range, won't get used.
I use them to ensure ghost doesnt start a hunt in a spot i dont want it to start.

I'd say this is more of an issue for above average players in general - newbies are just gonna be playing Professional and lower, those with a little more knowledge might play Nightmare, but ultimately it's not something I'd expect most people would notice. I do agree that the Mare could do with someone more for 0ev players, restrict ghosts other than the Mare from turning the lightswitch off immediately would be one, varying speeds dependant on a room with a switch on or off would be another

I do say it makes new players confused on how the mare works when they are learning by behavior and not in the community itself. Like. They notice it hunts earlier with lights off. So they assume breaker can be off for this. But then its not hunting cause the light switch is still on.
Things like that which really mess with new players just trying to learn via investigation tactics.
Id even say yurei is the other culprit for new players learning the game. While all other ghosts are fairly straight forward for new players to naturally learn their mechanics.

Take your dots to nests. If there is some noise you can place it down to see a bunny in the dots. T1 dots is easiest because you don't have to listen, but its also a t1 dots for the investigation

if you go to his latest stream at 34:30, you can see example on cww. places salt, grabs music box, plays music box, approaches ghost, ghost starts the event, places music box on ground, pulls out emf, staying within 1-2 meters of the ghost the entire time, turns it on, says raiju immediately, then the ghost starts hunting

The speeds are usually 5% slower if they're doing bunnies b/c the runaway will slow the ghost for the rest of the game. The cheat sheet has an event button you can press to include this slowdow.
