Guys, I think I am doing this weeks challenge all wrong. I've just been using the cursed item to start a hunt and guess the ghost by how fast it runs at me. But I can't seem to figure out the ghost. Am I seriouslly supposed to actually find the ghost room on Brownstone? :p

that's a way of brute forcing it, just reset until you get a ghost with an obvious speed like a deo, rev, thaye, or hantu. nothing wrong with it, you could definitely find the room but don't really need to

Hi im decently new to the game and trying to work up courage to actually experience hunts on my own but im getting diff info regarding closet hiding spots like on tanglewood

I saw posts say you could leave one door open, but then i think i heard one streamer recently say our character model is wide now and now u need both doors shut

I did survive one hunt with 1 door open, but then died the next hunt. I may have also closed the door too late but didnt know if the wide model was actually a thing or not

the thing with the closets, assuming it's not broken, as long as you back your butt up into the corner, the ghost won't be able to see you from the other door. you just have to hold the door that's closest to you shut.
but that's assuming. I haven't had any trouble with the double door closets on tanglewood, but anecdote is anecdotal.

The problem isn't that the ghost started a hunt on you. It's that you need to be able to get away from that, or at the very least prevent it. If you were down to 0 sanity then at some point you should think to bring in a cruci.

live and learn, but if your sanity is getting that low, try to spend more time in the light too. Keep the ghost room dark so it throws stuff, but keep yourself mostly in the next room over in the light. Just go in to check for EMF, UV, spirit box, etc

On camp woodwind and maple lodge camps there's small tents that when you walk in the ghost can't get you. Because of your level, unless you join a lobby you won't have the map.

Yeah the host was level over 90 I think 😂 thats the map I died pretty soon after the game started. I turned around and the gate was closed and then I turn around to run away and run straight into the ghost 💀 My team stared at my body for a solid 10 seconds

Each ghost has their own unique appearance or ability. I'd highly recommend learning them. I can explain more when we play. I'd just focus on levelling up to get better gear. Tier 1 thermometer is AWFUL!

The ghost model can change hunt from hunt. If it changes for 1 'blink' mid hunt sometimes a few times then you know it's an obake. It's completely random what you get. I will say if you get 3 out of spirit box, uv, freezing, orbs check for the 4th. The amount of times I've been mimicked is unreal!

From my understanding ghosts used to be able to throw the book if they had Writing, but since it was the same interaction they'd always have to write first.

but its changed so a Writing ghost will only write and never throw
