Nothing was preventing it - onyro used cruci with a firelight lit right next to it, and it had blown it out 3x with nothing preventing it with no cruci use or hunt started

Yeah I strongly prefer just keeping a single flame directly on top of a crucifix. If it's not an Onryo, it'll be able to hit the cruci while it's lit. if it is an Onryo, it'll become apparent. Other ghosts cannot blow out the same flame twice in under 20s.

I just got tired of it real quick. It's scripted jumpscares and some things that get old fast. The hunts aren't great, the ghost personalities aren't distinct enough. The exorcism gets old after you've done it a few times, and the bonus objectives you have to do to complete them become basically mobile mini-games on later maps. It all just felt like a flashly cash grab. My 2 cents.

Uhmm sanity is like your afraid meter and if it goes down it will trigger the ghost to hunt you more often

So if you are playing multi-player your sanity will be decreasing much faster than playing solo

It's largely the fear of the unknown that creates the scares in the game. Having others lends some emotional support. Whatever you choose, just focus on learning. You'll be figuring out the ins and outs of the game for months at least.
