it can be used for that, but isn't typically. you put it down in a room and then you can hear noise from a range while in the truck.

so it's a way to hear footsteps or figure out ghost room by sounds without draining sanity, if you're worried about that.

in general, it can sense where the ghost generially is, but you'd find the ghost faster without them since you have to place them down, go to the truck, wait for a reading, go back to adjust placement, go back to truck, repeat ad nauseum.

but you do gotta get used to its range to figure out strategic placement.

my husband and I use them on some of the more difficult challenge modes, but we're in the minority.

If the candle in the room I'm in stays lit but it blows the other out when it leaves the room, I just call it a shade and leave

Question about VR on Steam. If my headset dies and I exit out of VR and go to my pc I'm still in game and can see/hear everything but I can't use KBM and have to just shut down the game. Is there a way to continue on KBM or are you just forced to restart if the headset dies?
