Thaye vs hantu is fairly easy even with breaker on. Hantu will change speed dependent on temp of room.
Thaye will be constant speed during the hunt and wont change speed until next hunt at earliest

Don't sweat it, just play the game, either with a buddy, or solo, or make some friends in the lfg channels, and make sure you don't get super hard carried, and if you play with high level players, instead ask them to teach you.

If you’re not already, bring in a motion sensor so you know if the ghost is around, or immediately after a ghost event, go to where it was and spam box. Just makes spirit box attempts more efficient (since you know roughly where it is)

Man, screwed for the 3rd day in a row. Today I was trying to do the starter items task, and I had it down to Goryo and Wraith. The ghost absolutely refused to touch anything that would show UV though, and just did a bunch of ghost events to put me at low sanity with no defenses. So I decided to just take the 50/50 and leave, since I was spending 20 minutes and risking death on a game that would pay like 700 dollars since I couldn't do any objectives. It never responded to spirit box, it never did any stalking behavior, and I never saw dots in person even though it was doing them consistently on camera. So obviously it was a Wraith.
