For me personally, I think Bleasdale has a complex enough layout that simply putting distance between you and the ghost and hiding in a bathroom or study or something is going to be reliable the vast majority of the time if you are someone who plays with hiding spots set to None despite actually wanting places to safely hide.
For everyone else, there are nine official hiding spots and that's insanely generous.

I did come across a few thayes and demons, but nothing too different about the frequency. I still think it's just rng. Check your journal for the most common ghost type you encounter. Mine's Yokai.

Has anyone been having trouble with salt? Not functionally, the ghost will still step in it but I did a little test and in 20 contracts I've gotten the ghost to step through salt 19 times (Had a Wraith) and 10 of those ghosts had UV as evidence but UV showed 0 times as well as never playing the "ghost walking through salt" sound.

yes, inside the gate. the side yard, courtyard, and patio are each a room that can be the ghost room and is huntable space

are you using T3 and piling it? it's more likely to do that on piled T3 salt because of a mechanic, the salt will force the ghost back to where it was roaming from

and the piled salt just stops it

You would need to wait until the devs (and if the devs) open up a feedback channel for new map ideas. Every month they open feedback up, but only for specific topics (for example, November was feedback on the Halloween event, December was feedback on the console release, January was feedback on the December event, etc). I won't say they'd NEVER open up feedback for map improvements, because they might, but it could be a while if they already have plenty of ideas
