Now here’s a theoried question. When playing insanity it throws the book.. and it’s supposed to be a emf 2 event. If its emf 3 is there that possibility it would be emf 5. But like completely hidden. I’ve noticed everytime a book is thrown and the event is emf 3 it’s always a ghost that has emf 5.

the moment shades step even 1 toe out of a room, it is considered in a dif room, so it can blow out a light or touch smt, even though it appears to be in the same room. and ghost interactions dont care about walls, so they can interact with stuff through walls.

Jinn is easy by using their speed up with the fuse box on. If you've broken the fuse box you can't identify a Jinn so you kinda screwed up there.
For Mare you just click a light switch on and off for a couple minutes and see if it instantly flicks it off at some point.
Yurei is tough. Easier if the ghost room is small. You can set up motion sensors in the exits of the ghost room and smudge it to see if it goes straight to the ghost room and stays there.

Depending on your play style you should always have maybe extra lights or some kind of path to the hiding spot ready don't forget that ghosts wander around so they can get behind you so even having a crucifix behind you a little bit so that it can't trap you is a good idea

A lot of times the things people get wrong is they sit in the ghost room or near it you don't really need to do that you can go in and check the evidence when you hear something move or check the thermometer really quick and check the book keep an eye on dots from outside the house keep your sanity up

The Onryo Will be stopped by fires/candles, But every three candles/fires it can hunt if there's nothing else that stops them such as another candle or crucifix within their range

What I do in large maps is

1. parabolic to find the general area the ghost is in, tier 3 shows you if the ghost is upstairs or downstairs
2. Temps to test the rooms in that general area
3. use sound sensors to focus down where the ghost room is if step 2 doesn’t work well
   Those 3 steps should help you at least narrow down where the ghost be hanging out

The spirit box has an auto-ask failsafe feature which simulates a recognised phrase even if you dont say anything or the mic input isnt working. All other conditions (lights off, box on, close enough to the ghost) have to be met tho.

For me I’m in the van for like 10s-15s tbh, I watch the camera for a few seconds for less sanity drain and monitoring if something happens like a ghost steps in Salt or if I missed ghost orbs for mimic or evidence runs if it’s a goryo, I don’t see a reason why people sprint in and out of the van, you lose 0 sanity whilst being in the van so might as well use that opportunity to monitor and take notes

Highschool is a fun spot to test. Have one person at end of hallway. Others in rooms before that person. Ghost will ignore those players as it runs by since its locked to that person. It wont actively swap to them until original person los is lost. Those players can still run in front of the ghost and die though.
Its same way that deo acts at all times.
I only explain it in this manner since people do come in wondering how the deo was max speed when it killed them

It wont force it open if the current active targetting system is going after someone else. But can still kill inside closet if it gets too close while running after that current person. Im just under the impression that it was easier to code deo as always having los at all times.
The doors to lockrr being forced open being something coded separately since all ghosts do that to someone in closet even if it has los, can see this by standing in an open closet door while other closet door is closed. Itll force the oposite door open despite having los already.

The only advice I can give you is what I do every time I do apocalypse on any map smudge, take picture, drop cam, pick up another smudge from the ground so you got two more walk away for a second make sure you're counting correctly after 5 seconds you can smudge again hope it doesn't follow you randomly in the smudge timer

I gave up a couple games after getting killed by a deo because I was trying to get the cruci objective, so I went to the female side, got stuck in the hallway when it decided to hunt and it got me 😭 because there’s no where to loop a ghost in that place (probably is just don’t know any spots)

With the spirit box there is where are you how old are you what do you want do you want to hurt me certain things like that you can ask anything you might get a random response but that will just be the spirit box automatically answering not exactly answering "what you said".

Leaving microphones open it can try to hear and try to answer, that's why you'll see it blink once in a while. there's lots of ways to get it to keep talking but you still have that chance where it doesn't answer on all three tiers.

Of course it doesn't force it to hunt it just raises that threshold
