On a completely related note, ghosts need to be able to long roam to be able to change rooms.

That is why banshees and goryos are not able to change rooms

Mare can do that. Technically any ghost can to be fair, but with any other ghost it's sheer coincidence. It's most likely to happen with a Mare.

The key to tell is whether it's blinking or not. If the ghost is blinking in and out of visibility, it's a hunt. If the ghost model stays visible, it's an event.

If you don't trust yourself to reliably count the fires blown out well being extremely careful to worry about lighters also.
You can just keep a bunch of fire lights lit around the room and see if it only hunts in a corner where maybe it wasn't covered or outside the room

i always start by taking a camera on a tripod and i would always open the truck and it would let me. Now all of a sudden it wont let me open the truck, turn on/off lights, etc while holding camera/tripod.. was that made so in an update ?

Because the light switch ability of the mare each light switch has a cool down the best thing to actually do is not to just sit there at the same light switch where you know the ghost is especially using motion sensors helps for this but try other light switches around that room too during the cool down

It's about rng a mimic can also do that but the mimic will change ghost types and always have ghost orbs as an extra evidence

Mares are also more lightly to explode the lights, so if you have multiple light explode events in a row there's a good chance it's mare but it's not concrete as rng can do the same

Exactly. Sometimes simply by coincidence you'll turn a light on just as the ghost was about to mess with the light switch. It happens. It's just that if you see it happen it's far more likely to be a Mare. The best way to be sure is to test for it more than once. If it happens more than once, it's almost certainly a Mare.

So back when we had the old Asylum, there was a room which hinted at Sunny Meadows, in form of a message left behind by one of the patients there, patient 7, she was sent there for unknown reasons.

During her time as Sunny Meadows, she was locked in the padded room in the hospital wing of the basement. If you grab a UV light, u can see how long she spent there. I believe the total years she spent there was about 20 years. And if you go into the morgue at the end of the hospital wing, u can see her rotting corpse.

The female screams you hear when you play Sunny Meadows, is said to came from patient 7's torture throughout her time there.

The banshee will only follow its Target if the target is inside the house.
The orbs stay in the ghost room for all ghosts that have orbs until the ghost officially changes its room if settings allow they do not follow the ghost when it's randomly wandering and the banshee does not change ghost rooms so it's orbs would never move..

wrong. at the start of the game, the banshee selects a favorite person aka a target. in single player that will be you, obviously. during the game, the banshee may use its ability to walk/roam to the target.
the banshee hunts based on the target's sanity, 50%
if the target is in the house durig the hunt ONLY the target can be killed by the banshee.
if the target is NOT in the house, the banshee can kill everyone.
if the target is not in the house, the banshee will not do any roam.
the banshee can ONLY change targets once the target is dead.
And because of how the banshee special roam works, IT CANNOT CHANGE GHOSTROOMS

it has normal speed and speeds up if it has LOS

Any ghost orbs are ALWAYS in the ghostroom, never where the ghost is. The banshee can literally be at the entrance of the HS, constantly roaming to the target while the ghostroom is at the end of the world
