some evidence follows the ghost around rather than staying in the ghost room, like freezing temps, the ghost lowers the temperature of a room the longer it spends in that room, so if a room never got to freezing and it changed rooms, that room will not get to freezing until the ghost changes back to that room, so gonna have to try to find the new room (assuming it changed rooms)

one thing you can do is rule out banshee, take a motion sensor to a part of the house far away from the ghost room (but on the same floor as the ghost room) and set up a motion sensor in the door (if you have them), a banshee would spend a lot of time following you around rather than being in the ghost room the whole time

also, listen to the door touches the ghost does. The yurei's special ability allows it to basically touch a door twice at the same time, causing that door to close all the way, no matter how far open it was before the ability was used (it must be open though for the door to be considered for the ability to be used on it)

you can hear the sound of the door being "double-touched" in house maps, very clearly, then 2 seconds later it sounds like an actual player closed a door with the slam sound

Raiju is normal speed ghost (1.7m/s) but will be faster around electronics (2.5m/s), like dots or a motion sensor, as long as they're turned on

Thaye is just a fast ghost in general, at least in the start of the game. the more time you spend near a thaye, the older it will get. the older it is, the slower it will be during a hunt. it will not change speeds in the middle of a hunt and will be constant speed the entire time.

On 150% speed, the ghost overshoots the end of the dining room table pretty regularly so you can loop it around the dining room table easier than some other ghost speeds. Similar to looping around nothing 😄 It's fun!

Theres 2 light switches. Make sure both are off. Make sure youre in the room ghost is in so try both rooms. If needed swap to text mode and try that.

If they're on console, the voice recognition is not available yet, so they have to use the text option to use the spirit box. Some newer console folks don't always realize that.

I use t3 to bully goryos that leave their fav room by constantly placing it after its left so its forced to walk back out lol

That probably means the voice recognition isnt working properly. If you tried the text.
Having spirit box on will also occasionally attempt a response every once in a while as a fail safe mechanic. You can see this in action by leaving a spirit box on near the ghost on the floor.

Its a t3 quark since the t3 forces the ghost to walk back to starting point of that roam. And the t3 stacked can trigger it to start that new roam back, but be stopped by the next salt, which then causes it to just stop.
T3 is the only salt with this aspect. And its much easier to get UV due to this trait.
The other salts the ghost can just walk onto then stop as a normal mechanic of ghost roams.
