Tricky because they don't have a weakness. Best way to rule one out is to get to rock-bottom sanity and smudge it. If it hunts within three minutes it's not a Spirit

Ur cool, your probably gonna have a trouble finding people to play with though, most times not having a mic makes the game harder for you and your teammates to play, mostly since the game revolves around sound, rather it’s hearing for evidence, the ghost, or just hearing and talking to teammates, since you don’t have a mic you can’t really do non of that effectively making it a pain to play for everyone. If you’re able to, I’d get a replacement probably tmr if you plan to play with others more.

Well if it helps, you can do a Jinn test by putting an EMF reader up to a power box to test for the Jinn Ability, test the wraith with salt, mimic with orbs, Phantom by seeing if it’s less visible, and an Oni by seeing if it’s more visible in a hunt, demon by seeing if it hunts before 60 seconds after smudging, and a spirit by seeing if it hunts before 3 minutes after a hunt. You can test Obaka by watching to see if it shapeshifts mid hunt, if it ain’t quit from far away it can’t be Myling also, if it doesn’t hunt close to you it’s also not a banshee, and shade you can rule out by seeing if it events in the ghost room while your in it. Yokia and Poltergeist you can determine by if it throws a lot or is attracted to electric equipment, Yokia you can do a sound test for though, and Deogen you can tell by how slow it is, they move slow but always know where you are, so probably the best ghost for loops in my opinion. That’s about all I can give for tips though and someone can correct me if I’m wrong on anything.

It does (think it's 1-2 minutes though). But when it switches it randomly picks a new ghost, including all ghosts (even the one it's currently mimicking). So it's possible for it to mimic the same thing multiple times in a row if you get unlucky

The best method I have found to find room is actually taking a parabolic and a EMF. Use parabolic to hear general area, follow emf by ghost activity. You can also say the ghosts name to get activity too

so the emf has 5 signals, 1 is default, 2 means it interacted with something, 3 means it threw something, 4 means it manifested, and 5 is evidence with I think a 25% to appear in every interaction

It has to be close to an interaction (like a thrown object or touched doors). It only has a 20s timeframe before it will lose the emf reading
