Make sure to turn on the lights in the area so you can see the ghost, if LOS is too fast (and depending on the looping spot) you can crouch and it will loose you.

Raiju, yep. Thaye starts off fast and slows as it ages (as you spend time in its room). Deo is fast until it gets close to you (opposite of Rev). Moroi's speed is based on your sanity. there's a few.

If you play on amateur, the breaker is on when you enter the house. Roam in the place with your thermo in hand and stay in the rooms for 5s minimum : if the temp drops syeadily, you've found the ghost's room

Having an audio issue and I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced it before. It only happens when I'm playing Phas and no other games. If the mic is set for default mic I have no issues until I change it to the mic on my headsets then the audio of the game cuts in half. If I change it back to the default mic it goes back to normal volume. I have no idea why it's doing it.

I got ghosted by a Banshee, yesterday 😢 On a 15 minutes long investigation, she never used her ability even once

from what i understand is that the Banshee skill (roam to yo ass) interacts weirdly with the long roam, because of this, the long roam has been disabled. Long roam is needed to change the ghost room (a percent chance). this is why banshees no longer have the ability to change rooms

I have a Steelseries headset and I know for mine, if I turn on the "fancy" settings on my headset and try to set it up, Phas borks out. Does your headset have something like that? I think mine's called like SoundSonar or something I have to turn off.

Earbuds may default to a "chat" channel which reduces the bitrate to a rate that's appropriate for things like phone calls but not for chat + game audio, this may be the issue if you're using earbuds

They appear to be 16 bit and between 16000-48000 Hz for all audio input and output. Though I doubt I'm looking at the right spot because Win 11 changed too much things in this garbage OS.

if it's at 16000 when the issue is happening, tha'ts the problem, this is where my headphones went when it would force all the audio through the chat channel instead of the game channel on the earbuds

if it's at 48000 then I'm not sure

in the end the fix for me was to use a different headset

but like they said it was only with phas so idk if that's really the issue

humans listen to 22KHz so anything lower than that would sound horrible. this is why High Res audio tries to go twice that by reproducing audio at 44Khz or 48Khz

yea that is correct too. voice calls will drop to 16KHz in order to prioritize latency.

Although if they are using BT headsets for gaming, yeah 16KHz would be hella bad but the latency is pretty on point (at least for BT 5.0 and above)
