yeah also you don't always need to speak to the spirit box, ghosts will sometimes just say stuff randomly in it you can leave it open and just throw it down while you look for finger prints or ghost orbs with the camera

you are indeed supposed to struggle to see in the dark 🙏 using gpu filters to remove the dark is completely removing an intended difficulty increasing mechanic from the game in order to gain an advantage and i consider that cheating 🙏

On some small maps I can actually see enough in the dark to be able to navigate fine with max game and monitor brightness and eye adaptation. Though I would still struggle to loop ghosts without a light to help me track them

I have cataracts in my eyes... if I don't remove the dark with my NVIDIA Filter I can't see anything to play and I'd have to stop playing. I get surgery in April though so I can play in the dark after that.

the event sounds could be exactly the same as the hunt sounds the difference is that it will always use the same hunt sound the entire round.
Big differences to know if it's hunting or not the lights in the room will turn off immediately if it is a event and they will start flashing if it is a hunt you will always be able to see the ghost in an event it will not be blinking.
A lot of this gets thrown out the window when you're doing low sanity and low Grace periods because you should just run from everything lol

Except struggling to see also means it being either very RNG or impossible to identify for no reason. It won't add difficulty, it will only add unnecessary extra steps to play the core game. I'm playing to identify ghosts, not mess around with being able to see all the time. If it wasn't quite as dark as it is right now then maybe. It's just a very boring mechanic and I'd like to be able to actually enjoy myself on modes without breaker or flashlights.
Calling it cheating would imply the game is competitive, which it is not. So that argument already goes out the window.
Darkness as a game mechanic got old like 50 hours in when you actually learn about more and more interesting game mechanics.

you can run at the same sprint speed while standing and crouching, so if you don't have a close hiding spot just crouch and run until your find somewhere safe enough to hide, i always run towards the garage as it has many hiding spots or at the least one still available at higher difficulty

Depends, for cww I have a whole routine:

• Grab salt, incense, cruci, and lighter, toss cruci near the benches and incense and salt near the gate
• walk back to truck, fetch second incense (in case of fast ghosts when I usually burn two to stay alive), emf for raiju test, and photo cam for some extra XP off the salt piles. Throw emf and camera next to the bench, then walk in and pick up the second incense and a salt, set up salt piles, set up emf, and grab photo camera, hopefully all before first hunt

On tangy since the looping spot is so far away from the entrance, I just start with lighter smudge salt and crucifix and go from there

I'm not the person who has to prove anything. I'm saying something does not happen, you (or the devs) are the ones to prove that in can in fact happen, falsifying everyone's statement about it. Until then, it will be viewed as not true if dozens of high level players have never experienced it.

I am sure that only Yureis do double touches because there are enough people waiting for evidence of the opposite happening. Until then it is very true as we have nothing but empirical data to go off of.

It's like in physics. Describing the environment "given" to us to understand it will come down to models that we need to accept until falsified.

So yes, I will continue to tell players that if they hear a double door touch with a delayed slam (in most cases) means the ghost is a Yurei

Devs have said something, my own experiences corroborate it. Justly has provided a video showing a non-Yurei closing it with the the delayed slam

So if you see 5 black bars above an EMF reading, it's a ghost with EMF 5
