you must trust your hearing more than your vision.
remember that sprinting it small bursts is much better than sprinting overall for looping, but there are times where you need to use all 3 seconds of your sprint
if you sprint for a second, you need to wait a full second as well to recover that stamina. If you ended up usingg your 3s sprint stamina, you will need to wait 5s to recover that stamina back

You'll know if they move if they start consistently interacting, and it's gone cold in that room and they're no longer interacting with things in their original favourite room. Ghosts can roam too so don't get that mixed up if there's cold temps in numerous places

the mechanics were implemented to make for failed photos (2 star disturbed salt instead of the ghost pic) not to help you achieve a perfect investigation or max out your income

as I wrote before, deletion was implemented to compensate the weakness of the priorities in the game (you have the ghost in sight but also a distubed pile of salt : which did you try to shoot ? The game chose the salt far too often and deletion was a (maybe temporary) patch

yurei will (or not if it doesn't feel like it) fully close a door without a ghost event (and you'll hear a double tap but it's not always obvious). A Mare will turn off a switch you just turned on
