From personal experience I've had trouble getting VOSK to work, so I use Windows voice recognition. Sometimes I have to press the windows key twice while in game to get the game to respond correctly.

It's a bit odd, but it is what it is.

Did you know that that Windows voice recognization glitch is with Windows itself when you tab or click out of the window it is Windows voice recognization losing focus on the game and that's why when you get back into the game double pressing the window key fixes it..

With an event the ghost will always be visible solid right away and it can have any of the random event sounds.
With a hunt the ghost will be invisible or blinking depending on if you have any grace period it will always have the same hunt sound for the rest of that match and you can die

Pick a room randomly at start of game, And the bone spawns in that room, allegedly, where the ghost can path. Bones are supposed to only spawn where a ghost can walk.

There are several tells.
When a hunt starts, you can hear the front door lock, and the ghost begins to make noises a few seconds before becoming visible and begins to move. Once you get a hunt during a mission, pay attention to the sound the ghost makes, it will make that same noise for every hunt during that mission.
During ghost events, ghost will always be visible and don't blink at all, but during hunts the ghosts constantly blink.

It’s also not needed, you can just memorise everything, as I have. Never once used the cheat sheet, just did my own research, watched good players and yeah, now I pretty much know everything, from cursed item locations to all ghosts behaviour and abilities, even the multiple locations on where the breaker can spawn.

makes the ghost start singing and if it's close enough the ghost will appear and walk towards the music box, turning it off when it gets to it and starting a cursed hunt

it also drains sanity for as long as you listen to it and if you run out of sanity it starts the cursed hunt then instead of waiting for the ghost to find the box

you can also throw the box on the ground to break it or whatever while it's playing and that'll also start a hunt

Question about the “They’re Here” achievement on steam. Playing solo on Tanglewood on a custom x9 no evidence difficulty I stacked a whole pile of plates in the kitchen ghost room. The whole pile violently exploded via Poltergeist ability as I was standing right in front of it, looking at it. I left the investigation and correctly identified Poltergeist. However, the achievement did not unlock even after resetting the game. Any idea on why? It wasn’t during a hunt or ghost event.

It's a soft evidence if anything. If you see two interactions at the exact same time, it's probably twins, but if you're just looking at the activity board, that could just be a very active ghost doing two things in quick succession

Even a Thaye can feel passive sometimes, as how active a ghost is has some randomness to it, and if you found the ghost very early you can start aging it before it has a chance to be very aggressive.

I was able to beat bronze and silver apoc after trying insanity for a week, so it was definitely a huge improvement instead of being frustrated failing no evidence endlessly
