I had a ghost attempt to hunt me, start the death animation but then stop halfway through it, and the cross I was holding in my hand then just randomly despawned. I've never heard of that. Maybe some really bad lag/desync? Some items have been known to disappear and they'll appear where they were last, often the truck.

forced evidences are evidences that must show for that specific ghost. if it does not have that evidence, it can never be that ghost (with at least 1 evidence enabled)

a bit of a specific question; when the mimic imitates a ghost, does it copy its smudge timers? and more specifically:
let's say i've smudged a mimic while it imitates.. a yokai, for specificity. the yokai has a 90s smudge timer before it can hunt again. but let's say 70s after being smudged, the mimic starts copying a spirit. would the mimic be able to hunt at 90s, the yokai's smudge timer, or would the spirit's 3 minute smudge timer be adopted and it would have to wait?

and does this work the opposite way? if i smudge a yokai-mimic and then at 50s the mimic starts copying a demon, can it hunt after only 60s or must it wait the full 90s of the yokai's smudge timer?

You’re either confusing the airball with your cold breath, or you heard the gasp or breathing event from the ghost. Keep in mind that Oni can still do a breathing or gasping event on you, but they can’t do it with an airball.

If it started hunting suddenly before 1 minute and 30 seconds (which is Demon behavior) when it was mimicking a Deogen before, you’re probably dealing with a Mimic. Though, never ran into something or figured out a Mimic like this so I might be wrong
