I convinced my friend to get the game for their ps5, like me they opted to run without a flashlight, but even on 250 brightness they can still see nothing but darkness inside the house, they can’t see the woman in the closet in the lobby, they even turned up their tv brightness but despite this they have to navigate using the walls inside of the houses.

The deo in beta argued by " me and a few others" was Considered and agreed upon to be opposite of what the game teaches you so brand new players who Most videos out there and everything about the game tells you that you want to hide from the ghost, I even argued that it shouldn't be available on amateur that might be another compromise so that when people start moving up they experience this "technically Different mechanic" ghost.

The same that quite a few ghost games did actually there's certain ghosts that you cannot experience till later in levels once you understand the game but only having one ghost locked does seem strange I know but it's how they had to do it apparently

We have changed the wording a bit to note waiting 6s, that setup timers and active smudge timers will cancel the hunt attempt, and that a flame being used to prevent a hunt will reset the counter and count as the first blowout.

However, it seemed like you were saying that relighting a candle at any point would reset the counter, is that your understanding of it?

made it easy for me to know that if a flame prevents the hunt, it counts towards that every third time, even if it's the first one in the count.

Right. As far as relighting a candle resetting the counter, I know that isn't the case since I prefer to do one candle re-lit 3 times. That way if a flame was blown out previously, it can attempt to hunt between me relighting it, rather than having 3 prelit candles and having them unknowingly act to prevent the hunt instead. To each their own for sure, but using a single candle is 100% a viable option

Short roam and long roams, if you are on high roaming it's 30% for long and 70% for short on low its 10% for high and medium 20% for high. Long roams are a max of 11m and ghosts can only change favourite rooms at the end of one. Short roams are a max of 3m and nothing special happens. The probability of a roam attempt completing is dependent on the 100-sanity to get percentage chance.
