I’ve been playing with this person who is prestige 20 level 200 something. I noticed that when we were playing together and he wasn’t streaming the game he was able to walk in and know exactly the ghost is within a matter of a minute or so. Also he claims that he is able to tell exactly what the ghost is by the walk pattern of the ghost in any specific room and mind you we were in the high school map there has several different rooms and obviously there’s over 20 ghosts that have different patterns for each room. I feel like he is cheating but part of me feels wrong for calling him out lol

If you light it near the ghost during a hunt, it distracts it for a few seconds so you can run and hide. If you light it outside of a hunt, near the ghost, you can prevent a hunt for 90 secs

To give you a genuine answer, the ghost gets 15% speed, double sanity drain, more events, is more aggressive but gives you 10% more xp and money

Many different ways! I'm a thermometer stan, so I typically turn on the breaker and start looking for rooms that are dropping in temp. Or go grab more equipment to chuck onto the map then check rooms. You can also listen for interactions like door touches, thrown objects, etc.
