there’s a sequence of checks, the last of which is a probability based on complement of team sanity. IF the check is done (it has to pass the rest first), the chance is 100-team sanity for it to change ghost rooms

What I would do is:

Let it hunt and listen: if it's slow af it's a Rev, if it's speeding like crazy it's a moroi.

After that take a smudge and stay in the ghost, if it does anything it's a demon. If it stops all activity, it's a Shade.
