My advice mainly is just wait until you get a ghost that you can hear on the paramic in the front half ish of the map.

Check to make sure your Internet connection is strong. I had this happen once before and it wasn't connect to steam cloud. Internet wasn't connect properly. Once I was connected everything booted up as it should. Just worth a try.

I've seen issues with that, I had a friend who had an issue with sync save data between his steam deck and PC.... And I think some people these days figure alt + F4 is an acceptable way to close their games now

This is usually one of 3 things. Firewall and antivirus is blocking it so check those and add Phas as exception. The voice chat system, Vivox, is outlawed in a handful of countries so if you’re in one of those you’d need a VPN. Make sure to check VPN laws in your country, if this is the case.
