Yeah... I think Obake has UV, EMF 5, and Orbs. You cannot get The Mimic if you got either EMF5, Ghost Writing, and DOTS as evidences.

How’s this for a lore reason. Any ghost requires a weak sanity of the people around for it’s power.
At full on daytime, sanity is so rock solid the ghosts simply cannot do anything.
So in order to prove and determine ghosts, you as the player need to let your guard down a little.

Even if you didn't get UV and you got those 3 evidences (Freezing, Orbs, Spirit Box), the all ghost choices will be grayed out which automatically it is The Mimic.

Obake is fairly simple to check (outside of the event maps atm), just see if it shapeshifts and keep an eye for its special print

Banshee will tend to wander towards you, so it's worth bringing in a motion sensor, walk away from the room and see if it consistently wanders to you
