Man, I think I'm gonna have to start cutting some of these weekly challenges out. I thinklike half of my deaths have come from just 3 or 4 weekly challenges, including two today from ghosts that found me under the stairs. But I did get to end with seeing a Yurei close a gym door with it's ability though, so that was cool.

One thing I did when trying to rule out myling AND Raiju, was put the NV googles on and use the para, see if the NV messed up when the ghost was within 15 meters, and when the ghost was in 12-20 meters turn the para off to hear for footsteps

If you're trying apoc 3 for the first time, you should wait until you have T3 stuff. The paramic especially

even if you were properly invested in the event, I'd not bother going out of your way to find the boxes. They form the most insignificant slice of the final amount of points, they border on entirely cosmetic. The primary point share are got through objectives and identifying the ghost.

I got Apoc 3 on the first try, but it was after like 300 hours in game and probably more than that watching people who do a lot of Apoc 3 lol

looking for the boxes is not only time-consuming but also offers no monetary incentive and exceptionally little point incentive. you'd do better simply reloading to get more ghosts identified than scouring the maps.

You don't want the ghost slowing down or stopping. Since the ghost is very fast and you're very slow, you want it running away at top speed, instead of sitting there frozen, waiting out the 5 seconds while you waddle half way across a room

Because freezing the ghost (T3) or slowing the ghost (T2) would still have you in a bad position, T1 doesn't affect ghost speed so it'd run away at 150% speed, thus increasing the distance between you and the ghost

Btw I got my ghost photo from a ghost event, you can increase the ghost event to medium

T3 smudge can actually get you killed if the ghost walks into your hiding spot and you don't have time to get away. You need the ghost running away from you while blinded.

There's a few different things you can do. I did weather on snow so it would be quieter, but you can also do windy, so you get breath very quickly when the ghost walks in a room

Technically firelights reduce sanity drain so in a sense it does, by prolonging the time you're at higher sanity/not within hunting range, you have more time to get ghost events

Have the T3 paramic, learn how to move between hiding spots during hunt cooldown, how to move items, and how to identify ghosts. The hardest part mentally is getting used to walking one short distance for 25 seconds every minute and 10 seconds.
