If ur a beginner i suggest just starting with amateur runs and after a time increasing the difficulty and gaining more knowledge about each ghost

general rule of thumb, if you see orbs, look for all 3 evidence for a mimic regardless.
spirit box you have to use in the ghost room by asking valid question to trigger a response. all the lights in the room need to be off. candles and flashlight doesn't matter. and most of the time you need to be the only player in the room.

Just had an idea for a new cursed object. probably zero chance to ever see it in game, so... Candle of Protection: Once you light it you are invulnerable to the ghost for, let's say, 3-5 minutes (variable), and can observe savely during hunts but once it burns down you instantly die if you haven't left the house yet with the truck.
