yeah that's the mechanic of the shade 🙂 it also won't write in the book, interact with stuff, etc while you're in the room with it

hence why it's probably only triggering the motion sensor because it does path, but it won't do anything until you're not in the same room with it. Try hanging out outside of its room or chill in the van a bit with a book down, then go check it. you'll probably get writing

As far as i know Set Up time only prevent from hunting. Only a cursed hunt can set the Timer to 0:00 and end the set up time early

So me and my mates are in a game and it can either be a revenant or a moroi, it's very obviously not a revenant as it wasnt slow when we were hiding and it wasn't that fast when we were in its line of sight.

Yeah sometimes they can be tricky. I had a shade throw me off because it was hella throwing things in Sunny Meadows but it didn't click that it was wandering outside it's room to do all the interactions/throws. It also took foreeeever to get freezing because of the wandering

Thaye’s speed isn’t sanity dependent, it’s age. The longer you’re in the ghost room, the older it gets and the slower it gets. So if you’ve been in the ghost room awhile, it may be slower than you anticipated.

my playstyle affects that

game has changed a lot since first release. Most ghost speed up with line of sight. Mechanics of ghost types been altered and swapped here and there. Stamina system with faster speeds. A whole new lvling system and items and unlocks for that. Sunny meadows, the campsites maple rework, prison, point hope, willow are the new maps since launch. Lighter slot is dedicated now. Ghosts ability to detect and hear you and go to last known location.
And im sure I'm missing some stuff.
But importantly lots of fine tuning.

Big thing to note. When in same room, ghost will roam to a player while in dots state. This can help by making sure the area in front of you and pathing ability to you is lit up with dots.

so play to your strengths, or focus on improving your weaknesses in preparation for silver and gold

some consoles don't have anything integrated due to abovementioned privacy and legal concerns
so they're literally developing the tech from the ground up within phasmo, which they haven't had to do before

typically yeah but you need to make sure the salt covers a doorway for instance and have motion sensors on either side to verify it walked through it. If you have the salt placed in the middle of a room for instance, you are leaving a margin of error.

Ah. I was going to send a link. There is an "unofficial phasmo cheat sheet" you can Google and find. It helps you determine what the ghost is through some tests that is set up on the site. If you have two monitors, it's great. Otherwise, I recommend just pulling it up on your phone

So, you can test that out from a hunt. Deos are fast until they get close to you and then slow down. Thaye's it depends on how long you have been in the ghost room. If you have been there a while, they will be slower the whole time. If you haven't, they can be decently fast the whole time

otherwise just gotta be a bit efficient
