Well, it could be the fuses are blown. The logical place for the replacement fuses would be in the garage, or the kitchen drawers, or the loft or basement, because some people are strange like that. You'd think they'd be kept near the fuse box, but in my house, for example, the fuse box is at the front of the house, and the spare fuses sit in the kitchen drawer at the back of the house...

How about instead of having to find fuses to turn it on at the start, maybe we have a chance of a fuse getting blown through events and hunts and then having to find a fuse to replace it?

And the section of the map that fuse is associated with doesn't have working lights until it's fixed?

That would really add an interesting new level to the game. I'd be up for that, with the chances of a fuse or more blowing getting higher the higher the difficulty level.

you could also make the fuses drop/fly out of the fusebox and force the player to pick them up and put them back in correctly. With a higher difficulty you could drop multiple fuses at the same time or launch them at greater velocity.
This removes the need to look through the house for another thing (besides the bone, cursed object, hiding spots, breaker, ghost),

Cool idea but then it would be a big focus on hide-n-seek for items. If you get a blown fuse and have to find another, you are now spending even more time trying to find more items just to get the power on. Again.. cool concept though

Hey there ghost hunters!

Today I want to share a cute little story about Phasmophobia because why not, it's the weekend and the weather is nice.

Phasmophobia was my very first horror game. When I started playing I was 30 or 31 years old and usually my maximum level of fear in video games is when I can't put a Tetris piece in the right way.

Anyway I made a friend on the internet and we started playing Phasmophobia together. As she's in England and I'm in France, and then there was COVID, it was our way of getting together.

The special thing about this friendship is that we learned to be afraid together. We don't know how to play well, but it doesn't matter because we cry with laughter at every game. Between her throwing everything she can find to provoke the ghost and me trying to survive by running around, we are clearly not professional gamers 😂

But Phasmophobia was also for us the meeting place to exorcise the bad moments. Hours of talking in the lobby before choosing a map. We went through her breakup with her fiancé, my hospitalization for an ulcer and other trials. And Phasmo always made us feel good, I can't say why. But it's clearly a foundation in our friendship.

And for this friend's birthday I wanted to make her a special present. So for several months I went to flea markets, contacted designers, scoured the Internet to find all the objects from our Phasmophobia games and I wanted to show you the results.

I hope that every time she feels a bit discouraged, she'll open this box to remind her of the good memories of our pitiful ghost hunts (we're really very bad).

Oh and as my friend is English I found her the perfect box to store all the items 😂

they're actually quite useful for marking hiding spots in multiplayer. It's also helpful for navigation for moments like when the hunt ends, the breaker is out, and the player doesn't have a light on them

I was part of a discussion a while ago about how the more ghosts there are, the less likely you are to encounter any particular type.

I was considering how a person could theoretically rectify that, and came up with this class-system which makes certain ghosts "archetypes", which then apply some of the more passive abilities to the more unique ghosts, allowing the player to retain the massive number of unique ghosts while simultaneously increasing the chance of encountering certain game play styles. I've tied certain evidences to certain archetypes, as well as categorized ghosts in a "lore-conscious" way, recognizing the difference between true "ghosts" and more ambiguous "spirits". This is just a personal project but was a lot of fun to think through!

EDIT: Hantu should actually give "Freezing, Orbs, and Spirit Box" so as not to conflict with the Mare.

Instead of just getting faster for no reason, it should have a reverse aging for it's ability; making it younger and faster every time someone witnesses an event(opposite of thaye) and it's "weakness" is being an active ghost(causing more events).

Yes, you're right with that! Ghosts have footprints and fingerprints in the game, wouldn't work well with sprites etc.
Still, i remember a movie from the nineties, straight to TV, called Haunted, the simple ghostly ...ghosts were terrifying.
The unknown can be very scary.
Also would be interesting to see haunts with stronger flickering lights, slapping doors and cupboards, screaming, only with a few percentage of the haunts

I know there's a few out there, but I made a website journal / evidence tracker / ghost finder for me and my friends. It does a few things that the in-game journal doesn't. I use it when I play, but if anyone else wants to use it, feel free.

• It will tell you when an evidence is impossible — for example, when you have DOTS and EMF checked, it will mark Ghost Writing as disabled, since there are no ghosts with that combination of evidence
• Quick Wiki links to ghost types and evidence
• Sanity thresholds for ghost types, for a quick glance of how early a ghost type can potentially hunt
• Ghost minimization, for when you are pretty sure a ghost type isn't the right choice
• Remembers your choices in case the page refreshes or your browser closes
• A quick reset button to start with a clean slate
• Evidence that is guaranteed for a ghost type in nightmare mode are marked

I'd like to showcase something I've been working on since the new update released - the Torment Cards challenge.
Torment Cards is a webapp for both desktop and mobile that consists of a minigame-like challenge, in which the player has to beat 5 maps in order. Before playing each map, the player must pick cards that will make the run permanently harder, using a combination of custom difficulty modifiers and self-imposed challenges. It can be quite tough, so I wouldn't recommend it for a strictly casual experience -- it's more geared towards veteran players and streamers.

Rebuilt the Tanglewood Street House from Phasmophobia in Sims 4. Since you cant buy Cars without buying the DLC I turned the Garage into an Indoor Pool instead. I used a custom paint scheme for the Walls cuz I like this one better than the standard grey that most rooms used. Since theres no real Tool Shelf items in the game instead of the basement being a workshop I turned it into a Gym.

So, in May(?) I shared an orchestration of Adrift. Since then, Musescore 4 has been released, which means I don't have to pay money to get realistic sounds for my music, so I give to you Adrift - but prettier than the last version:

I updated the animation I had made previously for the cards. Two versions of the animation, one with a little spin, one without. Can be used for the server's animated stickers I guess if wanted. I feel that kind of background sound, realistic though it might be, will give people the migraine of a lifetime, specially since you usually have to be moving around with the Spirit Box in order to try and get a response, and there is no guarantee the ghost you have is a Spirit Box ghost, so you are looking at a relatively long time with that jamming into your brain.

Concept piece for a possible equipment addition, a stopwatch. Mostly wanted to see one added to have an in game tool to test for spirits and demons but considering how niche of an application that is I also came up with the suggestion to have it also function as a distraction tool in hunts. Was bouncing back and forth on that second suggestion cause I'm not really sure how disruptive that would be to hunt balancing if players had the ability to influence the ghosts routing. Even with the distraction functionality omitted it'd be neat to have a "salt equivalent" tool for demons and spirits so I wouldn't need an external timer.

Our phasmo team was meating up today and we made a full real life phasmo experience, with a breakerbox, equipment and cursed objects. We played in an old ww2 bunker thats open and rather spooky at night. I just wanted to show what we made, even though it isnt the best, but we enjoyed it 🙂 we made this all in one day.

We had several games, the first one was a poltergeist, the second one I forgot ^^' And the third one was a mimic.

We did have the whole bunker to ourselves, it's a tourist attraction that you can just visit near my village, and it's completely dark out there so it was a perfect spot to go to at night.

I couldn't fix a camera so quickly so for the dots I made a box and if the ghost (me) would jump over it it was dots xD and for orbs, the big round lamp I could turn on and off with a remote so it was very easy.

We had quite a lot of fun, but while prepping for the last game I heard some very spooky noises and I guess there was a rat there, and so I hopped out to get the rest back inside so I wasn't there alone.

Ha! I love the dots box, having a whole bunker to yourself, I don’t think I could. One noise and I’d disappear… Maybe it wasn’t a rat!

The darkness was suffocating, as if it was hunting prey. A woman with her dirty blond hair tucked neatly underneath a branded SSC cap looked out of the window of the moving trailer with worry, with concern.

"This is it, huh? Tanglewood?" she almost whispered her question.

A man dressed in the standard SSC uniform of a grimly colored dark-grey dress-shirt with a pair of black cargo pants tucked into his tactical boots, looked toward the woman, entertained.

"You tellin' me you're scared, Irina? I didn't think you'd be the type to get spooked so easily!" The man let out a quiet chuckle.

"Shut up, Troy. You know we're the 3rd team the company's sent here." She glared at Troy's eyes with a threatening gaze.

The man put his hands up before bowing his head, feigning surrender.

"I concede! I give up, officer!" He laughed, his eyes smiling brightly.

Troy reached his arm to the radio mounted on his left shoulder, but before he could say anything, the radio came alive for an inbound message from the driver.

"We're here. Previous reports suggest violence is a factor. Keep your wits straight and I'll be here to pull you guys out. Don't die."

Irina sighed, her hands stuffed into the pockets of her cargo pants. She was nervous, and it showed. Troy motioned to her before moving closer and rubbing her shoulder slightly.

"We'll be alright. We got everything we need to make it home." Troy's voice got quiet as he tried comforting the young agent.

"Didn't...the others have everything, too?" Irina's voice shook with a certain fear.

"No. They didn't have me." Troy's arrogance showed as he flexed his left arm before patting his bicep firmly with his right hand, smiling brightly. "Come on. Let's get set-up. Grab the crucifix."

Irina grabbed one of the two metal crucifixes and held it tightly, silently praying to a God she didn't totally believe in. She watched with slight interest as Troy touched one of the monitors that showed the floor-plan of the small house they were about to go into.

"Fuse is in the garage. Nice." Troy sighed, relieved as he tossed a black flashlight to Irina. She caught it with a bit of surprise.

"I-" Irina stopped herself and took a second, maybe two to compose herself. "I'm ready."

Troy smiled at her and passed her a duffel bag. It was loaded with 3 folded tripods and 3 video cameras, fully charged. He started collecting things off the rack and placed them into his own duffel bag. A bottle of salt, another crucifix, the EMF Reader and some other pieces of electrical equipment the SSC had assigned to the team.

Irina closed her eyes and her fist around her metal cross and stood up, her eyes a defiant, shining blue. She grabbed two photo cameras, sliding one into her pocket and the other into the duffel bag. She tested the flashlight Troy tossed to her, turning it on then off again. She moved to the bigger man and held her breath as he entered a code into a keypad at the back of the trailer.

Then, the doors creaked open and the duo of SSC agents stepped onto the pavement and moved toward the house.

7TH CURSED POSSESSION CONCEPT

🔮 SPECTRAL ORB 🔮

Basically it looks like a normal glass orb on a wooden stand. You can pick up the glass orb and look through it. You'll be able to where the ghost is roaming from the ghost's perspective, almost like a POV of the ghost. It feels like you are the ghost. However, as long you are looking through that orb, the ghost will continously roam towards your location. If it roams and gets within 3 meters of your location, the orb will shatter into many pieces and trigger a cursed hunt from the location it managed to roam to. The orb can also shatter instantly upon use if the ghost is already standing within 3 meters of you.

When you open, it gives you little clues for 2 possible ghost rooms and the bone. It's a one time use, so once you open it, you can't open ever again. Once you open it, you have 15 seconds to look at the clues and get to the correct ghost room (scales for different sized maps, just using tanglewood as a reference) and if you fail to get to the ghost room in 15 seconds or get to wrong room, the ghost will initiate a cursed hunt, and immediately change ghost room (except for goryo, so useful for that). You have a 50/50 shot of possibly dying, but hey, final boss cursed possession

Strengths: moves faster in dark can drop sanity rapidly by 25% if visibly seen for long period's of time
weakness: will not go into lit areas or rooms strong flashlight will blind jane forcing her to move slowly during a hunt or hide if multiple players blind her at once.
