Sorry, I just saw this. I didn’t intend to call you a hacker, I should have probably given more details so it wouldn’t sound that way. I apologise for the way it came across.
That being said, it is very possible for hackers that share a lobby with you to spawn the ghost wherever they please as well as start hunts from anywhere. It’s always best to leave those lobbies as they can have a negative effect on your game (including save files, crashes, etc).

Just wanna help a bit, this is my current setup, basically all items that I got 40 of is 1 per game and smudge sticks which is 80 is 2 per game, I've had no issues getting perfect games on professional and nightmare with this setup and you only risk $345 which you easily can get through 2-3 games of phasmo or a speed run for bone and Ouija board on nightmare, just a tip 😊

I had watched it go in and out of the bathroom several times, suddenly on it's way back it took off after someone it couldn't even see. as soon as i said "it's hunting, get out!" it went off to the garage, friend ran for the front door, no WAY did it see him. it went the complete opposite direction.
