i had them set to low so the game would run better. but the only map that ran bad for me was the campsite, and even with them that low, it still runs bad for me. i just haven't set them back to decent levels yet.

Insurance is compensation on the lower difficulty levels for dying. You will lose all the gear you brought, but you will get back 50% of the value on amateur, and 25% on intermediate. Technically, you still lost $745 if you were to buy back all the equipment you lost.
