you can hear interactions as such if they're close enough even outside of the investigation area and sanity loss is very case specific. You lose sanity outside of darkness if you're touched by a ghost event, Jinn ability, Moroi curse through spirit box / paramic, close proximity to a Phantom during events / hunts or Poltergeist multi-throw.. and being close to a door closed by a Yurei. Plushies or objects thrown don't drain sanity

Also Yureis can ONLY open or close all the way. Any ghost can open or close doors all the way but Yureis can only interact with doors fully swinging it in either direction instead of slightly moving them
