Thank you. I've done some digital. I bought the pad that you plug into your computer and used krita software. It was fun, but I'd rather have an actual tablet to draw directly on.

this was my first attempt at digital art. I really did enjoy it. I love how much quicker and easier it is. So many amazing tools to help cut time. And if you make a mistake, there's an undo button 🤭. I just didn't like having to be with my computer to create. I like to sit in many different places while i draw.

I started with pencil and paper, bought one of those pen input tablets, eventually upgraded to a XP-Pen Artist 12 Pro (12" pen display), then to a XP-Pen Artist 22r Pro (21.5" pen display), then to an iPad, and now I'm using my favorite so far, a Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. Honestly, the Tab S9 Ultra cost me more on its own than all of the other equipment combined... but damn do I love it.

After the cost of the tablet, accident protection, case, screen protector, super fast 45w charger and absolutely ate my wallet with a $1700 receipt.

But oh my god, worth it.

Pen displays are great and all but for me they can't compete with a standalone tablet. The ability to take the tablet with me anywhere and sketch; 10/10. Having access to touchscreen gestures; 10/10.

But yea, if digital art is something you're interested in, check out Brad Colbow on YouTube. He reviews a lot of tech for digital artists and even has a few "Best cheap pen tablets" videos. You might find one you really like.
