Every attack has a specific amount of mp gain and then affected by mp gain stat.
What one of the ones who handle wiki however found was that for some reason MP cost affects [YOUR] self mp gain
at least, traits did.
He tested Lu's stomp without light trait and with light trait
the amount of mp he gained with light was -20% less
much like the trait which reduced mp cost by 20%

But to put it simply. The magic of the mode is gone, and there are less people going in than there are quitting. A common mmo problem.

ik you said that these options may be null and void (in terms of QoL's and incentivization), but at this point, i can only assume that perks, incentives, and a change up in matchmaking that's based on "Closest account creation date", or W/L Ratio could be the only option.
I don't got much to say about this for now, I do agree on how Dead PVP would remain. The Meta Is PVE.
on the other hand: I don't expect a growth in Player population, and that aspect will be the only real thing that would help this issue, or Game in general.

the "Why" for me, despite how much they "improved" the enhancement system and the givings from the punch event. It's mostly for accessibility.
Well, of course weapons are nigh "equal" in arena as everyone and their pet dog has access to a +10 VoS,(or +11 SoA from the punch event), I believe most people are aware of the duelist gear impact, and considering the HP and defensive increases from enhancing duelist gear to +10 or +11, That can be a bit of a factor, and easing the "investment Factor" eases a part of the barrier to entry. (doesn't change how decesive the Experience or "skill diff" Barrier could be)
and ye, I'm a bit aware that it would potentially anger any cashers (be it dolphins to whales) who threw money at their duelist gear, and I would wonder how much of a problem that would be from their end if KoG implemented a "Free/time-costing" methods towards upgrading/enhancing the duelist gear in the same fashion that OG Sparring was done.
Actually, In your POV, how much of a problem would the funding players have with this idea?

Those titles aren't that great. Mp gain is already heavily normalized after 30%.
However if you wish to play around with it. Perkisas IB set has some good mp gain pieces.

In the meantime...something to think about.
How is it that games such as umvc3 (ultimate marvel vs capcom 3) are still alive despite not handing out awards? Only thing you get is the supreme overlord if youre the best.
And how could it be applied to els pvp?
The only difference i can think of rn is
- Instant play (just get on, pick a character, and play. Dont like the character? Instantly pick another)
- Tournaments (though im not sure when the last umvc3 tourney was, but official or unofficial, people still participate and practice for it.
- I had a third but forgot what it was.
2 solutions or QoL stuff that would help is
- Stat test room- choose your gear,costume, AND sockets and test it out. This allows freedom and better idea on how to best optimize your character and maybe even help discover new playstyles without loss.
- (Honestly a very important one) character test! At character select, have the ability to demo a character at each of their stages (or just the master class) and get a feel of the character instead of having to spend time lvling up to max and find out you dont like them and start over on another.
Its not a complete waste since el book exists but even then, better to like at the start than grind for it.
Last but not least, if you’ve been thinking about trying PvP but haven’t jumped in yet

Elesis/Raven/Elboy want instinctual movement.
Pick a 2 Renas either of your phys/mag or of your path.
Titan Slayer/Fist fight if you can fit both.
Then that 1% phy/mag depending on the synergy setup.
You can also do something like Angel of the Battlefield ( 4% ASD for a skill cast mid air).
Ive seen some people get the Agile synergy (Phys/mag defense)
Speaking of Phys/Mag defense, its been more popular lately.
Because of all the stat options available you can end up overcapping on stuff.

The extra stats they give can greatly boost your potential.
Because the fixed effect doesnt even work in pve. Many people who farm the dungeon will throw away a good stat piece.
Picked up a double damage reduction piece for 6mil the other day.
