Sync and your Project.

CurseForge App and site do not share the same requirements! You can find things on the site but this does not mean it will be in the app!
For a mod to show up in the app:

• Projects MUST have a file marked as RELEASE
• Projects MUST be APPROVED
• Projects MUST have a file marked for the PROFILE VERSION USED
• Projects CAN'T be EXPERIMENTAL
• Projects CAN'T be ABANDON

Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.

You can manually install one, and it'll work fine. The client won't update it automatically, and it may revert it to Classic if the author updates both.

That might be the addon's issue. ThreatClassic2 worked fine, but the Curse client rolled it back when they made an update

the old client for classic (_classic_) is used for BCC, so your addons will stay but at least some will need updates; if you continue to play classic (_classic_era_), you will have to copy them from the old client BEFORE updating or reinstall them

You dont get a notification for an update till 24hrs after you have had it.

The only way to know is click the :CFsettings: icon and check the numbers for the current version. If you dont have it, exit the app and start it again.

How to install modpacks with the search features in app.

1. Open the Minecraft section of the app.
2. Click the top search bar where it says Search for modpacks OR Click the Browse Modpacks Tab.
3. Find the Modpack you want to install and click install on it.
4. Wait for CurseForge app to download and unpack all the required files.
5. Once finished, click Play!

How to install modpacks from a Export. (Custom/Private/Site downloaded Modpack zip)

1. Get CurseForge App if you don't have it, use !download for a link.
2. Get the exported modpack from CurseForge or someone else, !mc-packshare explains how to make them.
3. Open the Minecraft section of the app.
4. Click Create Custom Profile
5. Click the Import option.
6. Find the file you just downloaded in step 2 and select it.
7. CurseForge app will now attempt to download and unpack the modpack. If it fails, try steps 4-6 again.
8. Once finished, click Play!

Hey, I'm a little bit confused. I tried to submit an update to my modpack which just adds a coin mod, but it gets rejected saying "The following files belong to CurseForge-hosted projects, and should therefore not be added directly to zip files:

These files should, instead, be referenced in the manifest.json file generated by the Twitch Desktop App during a profile export.

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding false reports on projects. In particular minecraft resource packs. Two days ago I got a message from a guy asking me to take down my project because they looked the same and was accusing me of using his assets. During the conversation I kept proving him that in fact they are not the same, but he kept on trying to prove otherwise. I have not gotten a message from him after my last prof, but I certainly felt very uneasy about him. I got a bit scared that he might false report me with fake evidence just to shut me down. If such thing happens what are my options to fight back against such false reports?

no - once you upgrade to TBC - you should get a notification with an Update All button - it should try to download the TBC (actually BCC) version of the addons. Those that fail will have a yellow alert next to them. Right click them and Reinstall - should fix it

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.

I have a question regarding custom jars on curseforge. I want to update a fairly big modpack to the newest version of mods but 2 of them contain bugs. They are already fixed in the newest version but they have not made a release on curseforge yet . I build these two mods myself and fixed them but I am unsure if this will get accepted by curse.

But Why? I've been using Onedrive path with no issues for months now, really helps me as I use 2 PCs, I repair the CF installation cause it bugged out on me (some packs wouldn't load...) I really don't want to have to pay for and setup a separate sync program just so I can play a mod pack on both systems.... or worse, Manually copy them each time I move PC.... So Why is Onedrive folder blocked? I can understand if there have been problems, but after a half hour of searching forums etc I cant find anyone with any problems....

So im trying to mod minecraft for a server Im making and its always worked but now suddenly after I click play in curseforge then in the minecraft launcher after I give it more ram (Ive tried to not change the ram it doesnt make a difference) the game just starts running but no window pops up and its just running in the background and the game never actually launches. This has always worked before with even this modpack profile so I have no idea what happened

How to install modpacks with the search features in app.

1. Open the Minecraft section of the app.
2. Click the top search bar where it says Search for modpacks OR Click the Browse Modpacks Tab.
3. Find the Modpack you want to install and click install on it.
4. Wait for CurseForge app to download and unpack all the required files.
5. Once finished, click Play!

1. Get CurseForge App if you don't have it, use !download for a link.
2. Get the exported modpack from CurseForge or someone else, !mc-packshare explains how to make them.
3. Open the Minecraft section of the app.

then you would need to go to the minecraft website to reset your password
