Curseforge is not launching any modded minecraft instances. Sometimes it sticks on bootstrapping for HOURS until i terminate it, or it will say it launched but no window ever comes up, and Java in tast manager doesnt use ANY cpu, so I assume its stuck somewhere. Ive had the first issue for weeks and the only thing Ive found that fixes it temporarily is REINSTALLING curseforge, which I do not want to do every day. Any advise welcome, please.

you'd have to direct it to the install path everytime, execute something specific, and that gets tedious

1. Click on the modpack profile you are working with.
2. Click on the button next to the play button.

I went on the website because it said the data packs had to be loaded manually
It told me to open the ‘datapacks’ folder & when I loaded the game I would have to drag the zip file into the data pack menu
It said nothing about resources packs needing to be loaded manually
I tried dragging the zip file of the resources packs using the same method describe above. This time, the resource packs did show up, even though it’s the data pack section (I have no clue what the difference is?)
However the resource packs still won’t load when I laid a world

I’m not sure if the original data packs work yet because the data pack content is changes that aren’t immediately obvious upon first loading the game (biome/dimension specific)

That's a modpack, not a mod. You need to enable "allow content management" in the profile settings. Then you need to add Iris and Sodium. Then you can add any shaderpack you want and enable it in-game.

I’ve built a mod pack in Prism Launcher and I wanted to upload it to CF. As I saw by the notifs on site, I need a manifest.json file, which I’m assuming requires me to build the pack on site (I could be extremely wrong)
Would there be a way to upload the pack from Prism directly?

I recently installed CurseForge and I am having some issues. To be honest, I think I may just be more comfused than anything.

I set up the app and began creating a modpack. To test, I found one resource pack that I thought I would enjoy. I clicked the play button within the pack creation menu and minecraft loaded fine. I tested it and I seemed ok. What I don't understand is how to actually load this mod on a world, and where the mod itself is?

from what I can tell, there is almost two versions/accounts of minecraft java happening right not.

1. normal minecraft with worlds and no resource pack
2. minecraft with testing worlds and resource pack (opened through curseforge)

I don't know how to open this other version with the resource packs without doing so through the curseforge app. Online it says you can do it directly from the minecraft launcher

If you're opening through the app, using a profile you made with the mods and resource packs you wanted, the mods are already there and the resource pack you have to enable in game

Hey guys I'm having an issue where when I press "play" in the curseforge app, it loads all the mods and for a split second i see the "kill instance" button before it goes back to "play"
When I click "Repair Installation" it does something, but when I press "Play" again, nothing happens.

This is usually due to another software messing around and causing bugs inside CurseForge, this can be a antivirus.

The other usual cause is a network issue with your computer.

The third cause could be a corrupted installation, you can try to reinstall the app

Hello CurseForge Team,

I would like to address a concern that has been bothering me – and likely many server owners in the ARK: Survival Ascended community – for some time.

Regardless of known issues in the past, the current situation regarding the offered mods is increasingly frustrating. In particular, many mods are provided that are clearly outdated, especially those from before the Unreal Engine 5.5 update. For server operators and players, it is often not immediately clear whether a mod is still compatible or actively maintained.

In practice, this means we regularly have to read through comments and additionally check their age to determine whether a mod is still usable. This extra effort is, in my view, far from ideal and significantly complicates server management.

I cannot judge what internal processes or technical constraints exist at CurseForge or Overwolf. Nevertheless, the current state of the mod overview – especially regarding currency, quality assurance, and transparency – appears to be in need of improvement.

I would appreciate it if outdated or no longer compatible mods, as well as nonsensical or low-quality “cheap” mods, were clearly marked or more strictly filtered. This would provide both players and server owners with a more reliable selection and would, in my opinion, significantly improve the quality and usability of the platform.

This means OneDrive failed to save these folders into its clouds. It's not concerning by itself, but the software could cause corruptions inside the game files while interacting with them.

OneDrive can also ruin your computer's performance, sometime to the point where you can barely use a browser. I recommend to disable it whenever you are not actively using it

How to repair your Minecraft installation on CurseForge - **NOT** the same as `Repair Profile` - please follow these exact steps

2. Click button in the Top Right Corner of the app
3. Click Repair Installation option.

So, i've been having issues trying to both manually installing and using the curseforge installer for a modpack. I have deleted and reinstalled curseforge and tested to see if my firewall is doing anything to it and it is not. I have flushed my DNS cache and am at my wits end here, I have been waiting for customer support for a while now and if anyone has any idea as to how to fix it please help. When I manually try to install a pack it says error code 1 and when i try to download it with the launcher it says Error is Forge Modlader installation failed.

I recently reinstalled windows. I have multiple drives and originally had my instances installed on another drive. After reinstalling curse forge only the profiles that were not in folders now show up. I searched through the files and the profiles that were in separate folders IE "Vanilla profiles" and "My modpacks" are not showing up. How can I fetch the profiles I can not see on the curse forge app, but know are installed?

hello curse forgers. today i have run into an issue with curse forge app. when trying to launch a custom profile 1.20.1 with oculus installed and hysteria shaders (im trying to get shaders to work) the curse forge app seems to boot up but right as its finishing the loading screen it kills the instance. the modloader is forge. minecraft version 1.20.1 with oculus mod and hysteria shader.

Hey everyone. Trying to help my friend on mac be able to run a fabric based modpack.

My friend can run curseforge modpacks perfectly fine (this one is the curseforge modpack we play: 7jhQ_VwC )

Here's the fabric modpack: C3zmILJS . When he clicks play, everything on curseforge happens normally, but the game dashboard does not open, and we havent been able to make any progress from there. Tried reinstalling and repairing the profile multiple times and nothing. I had him install both java and fabric and still nothing. Any advice?

Wifi can be unstable when it comes to multi-file downloads/installs. Lot more math and environmental things go into how wifi works vs a cable connection
