hello, i'm a mod creator/author on curseforge and there's a small issue on my mod page that may be causing people to be downloading an older version of my mod.
as visible in the image, the top file is the newer version (0.2.0b) and is built for Forge. however the modloader section says Fabric, although i distinctly remember checking the Forge checkbox while uploading. perhaps because of this people are still downloading the older file, and this also just is misleading in general. i'd like to know if it's possible to change that, because i don't see a way to do it from the site, thanks

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.

4. Select the files that should be included.

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

Only because fractureiser has been removed, it doesn't mean, that the site is now magically Maleware-Proof.

@bitter shuttle been having that problem for the last 24hrs its kicking resource packs that are also data packs out left and right. Apparently, as far as I can guess, the tool is seeing data folders in resource packs and automatically assuming they are renamed jar files and kicking them out

You COULD try renaming tags though.. If you wanted to dig through code to make sure the program accepts the altered tags

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Start the modpack you wish to fix. If it will not start, then click the in the top right of the app then select Run Vanilla Minecraft. In the launcher that opens, go to the Installations tab and choose New Installation. Choose a name and select the Minecraft version of the modpack you are trying to run (like 1.19.4 or 1.7.10). Once created play it by clicking the green Play button that appears when hovering over it in the list of installations.
2. Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
3. Find Minecraft in the list of running programs. It will be called something like Java or OpenJDK Binary. (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the Memory tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
4. Right click it and Open File Location
5. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
6. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings

8. Click Browse
9. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter

sorry for the ping, but i found something odd. The old modpacks are still broken, but when i duplicate the profile suddenly the new profile works but the old one doesn't. I've only gotten this to work with my custom profiles, and not premade modpacks however.

Best not to tell the CF app to use the .minecraft folder as the CF apps file structure would break the .minecraft folder.

You would need to move the world back and forth. With lots of backups. That is the safest option. As telling both apps to point to the same place would bery likely break one if not both apps.

How to install modpacks with the search features

1. Open the Minecraft section of the app.
2. Click the top search bar where it says Search for modpacks OR Click the Browse Modpacks Tab.
3. Find the Modpack you want to install and click install on it.
4. Wait for the CurseForge app to download and unpack all the required files.
5. Once finished, click Play!

How to install modpacks from an Export (Custom/Private/Site downloaded Modpack zip)

1. Get the CurseForge app if you don't have it, use !download for a link.
2. Get the exported modpack from CurseForge or someone else, !mc-packshare explains how to make them.
3. Open the Minecraft section of the app.
4. Click Create Custom Profile
5. Click the Import option.
6. Find the file you just downloaded in step 2 and select it.
7. CurseForge app will now attempt to download and unpack the modpack. If it fails, try steps 4-6 again.
8. Once finished, click Play!

does curse forge/overwolf count modpack playtime? does it get world playtime stats? does it count number of log files (generally a lot more the more you play, but not perfect) or something else?

my guess is that it isn't properly setup for MC specifically and is just a remnant of profiles for other games

because some of my highly played packs are a lot lower than ones I barely played, regardless of singleplayer vs multiplayer

• OneDrive folders
• Desktop folder
• iCloud enabled folders
• Any other cloud saved folder
• Folders with non-English characters in them
