FTB will never give you permission. They have an exclusive deal with CurseForge. Check the rest for Modrinth versions, if none you’ll have to ask the owners (if the license isn’t ARR, you’re generally free to use them regardless)

So uh, I tried to play on mc using curseforge with some mods. It kept crashing upon booting up the game to I turned off all the mods in the folder and booted up minecraft, however it kept crashing. So I tried a different one that worked before and the same thing happened with every mod folder. I'm not sure what happened as I changed nothing. Does anyone have an idea what I should do?

Hi guys. I have a problem. So I downloaded minecraft and everything was alright. The game was loading up and everything was fine. But then I downloaded curseforge. With Curseforge I had many problems and the game was crashing all the time. I managed to load a couple times but then I decided to delete it and play vanilla minecraft. And everytime I try to run vanilla minecraft now. Everytime I try to load into a world the game crashes and I tried everything. Updating my java, my gpu drivers, everything but the problem remains. I uploaded a Minecraft modpack I created to curseforge and it got rejected because I did not have a "manifest.json" file. The problem is in the zip archive i uploaded there is a "manifest.json" in said archive. So what am I doing wrong or is this an issue with curseforge?

I am on Linux and I have been using CurseForge-CLI for a while to install/update Minecraft modpacks, but it seems kind of abandoned since the URL it queries does not revolve anymore so I have installed ferium and it looks like I need an API key to get access to CurseForge's API. I read the form and the terms and conditions and it seems API keys are for mods developers. Is it possible to get a key just for using it to install/download modpacks with ferium (or any other third party programa)?

a friend of mine has the problem that she can't import modpacks because her files are packed in her one-drive folder, if she puts the files in a normal folder curseforge can't find them there either. Mods don’t get exported, a manifest is made, which is how the CF app knows which mods to install

Hey! For a few weeks my curseforge launcher is not downloading the correct mod dependencies on 1.12.2 versions of the game. For example. If a mod requires another mod to load, it is not downloading the dependencies anymore. It used to work.
The issue is happening on both of my computers.

No, your modpacks are on your pc, in the folder you set up for it. If you set that folder in the cf app install folder you should move it out to somewhere else, but otherwise it won't be touched.

You can export instances from CurseForge to CurseForge's Minecraft modpack format. Many other launchers support the CurseForge format. The CurseForge format allows you to export configs, mods, worlds, and more. The mods are stored as links and if they're not on CurseForge, they're included in the zip.
If you still want a txt file, you can do the following to just output the names of the files to a text file if you're on Windows:
- In your mods folder, make a text file called
mods2text.bat, overwriting the.txtextension (name doesn't matter but.batextension does!) - Right click and click edit which'll open Notepad. Paste the following:
dir /b > files.txt - Save and execute.

Shaders are an odd thing when it comes to exporting and publishing, I’d just leave it out of the export and put links to said shader(s) in the pack description

Hey, I've recently got a bit of a weird issue with curseforge. Downloaded it 2 days ago for WoW, used it to just install a few addons. Log on today and the icon is now blank, when I click on it - Curseforge is no longer found and has uninstalled itself from my PC?
I still have the installer files but the actual program itself is gone
