That seems to only be a server thing, which means it doesnt exactly work on singleplayer. No supported forge/fabric loaders either. Far as I know, wont work through a SP / modpack folder

No. There's an important distinction between Multiplayer mods and Craftbukkit plugins. All SMP mods are automatically compatible with Singleplayer Minecraft and are installed in the same way, but Bukkit plugins are designed specifically for the custom server called Craftbukkit

So you'd need to find a craftbukkit server setup

If its only on the website, support for said modpack may not work anymore. i.e the packs are no longer usable. You can try to import the .zip folder into a custom profile, but if its an invalid file type it means that the launcher cant load it

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

Ok I officially have the most f***ed up problem ever...

I'm trying to get the initial build for my modpack approved on Curseforge but it's saying that I've got an invalid file id referenced: fileID 4388706. Issue? That's configured 1.1.0 for 1.16.5... My modpack is 1.18.2, and I've confirmed that in the mods folder of the pack there is no 1.16.5 configured.

I did, and then re-exported it... The upload got erased again, and then the notification popped up saying that I had "configured-1.1.0-1.16.5" in the pack

Mind you, it's a 1.18 pack...

Also I've never used the mod tweaks mekanism that I'm aware of, cos I've known for ages that you can make the maximum speed of upgrades up to 20 without breaking anything (though it still takes 8 upgrades max XD)

There's usually 2 logs produced: One called "debug.log" and one called "latest.log". The former has more information though

5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

So whenever launching forge of any version this happens, it has no mods in it, I reinstalled minecraft, reinstalled java 8, got java 17 and none of those fixed it, I did remove java 8 when going to java 17 and vice versa

Also this is Windows 10 and I might not respond quickly

How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

If Minecraft will not start then use the tool linked at the bottom!

1. Open Task Manager while Minecraft is running (Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager)
2. Find minecraft in that list. It will be called something like "Java" or "OpenJDK Binary". (tip: sort by ram usage by clicking on the "Memory" tab. Minecraft uses a lot of ram so will be at the top)
3. Right click it and Open File Location
4. Copy the file path from Windows Explorer by clicking into the address bar and pressing Ctrl + C
5. Press and type in GPU, then press Enter to open Graphics Settings
6. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
7. Click Browse
8. Click the address bar and paste in the folder location you copied by pressing Ctrl + V, then press Enter
9. Select the javaw or javaw.exe file from the files in front of you (tip: press J to immediately jump to the files that start with that letter)
10. Once selected, click Add in the bottom right of the window
11. Click the Options button on the newly added option
12. Set it to High performance on the best GPU you have

Does anyone know how to fix exit code 1 on minecraft launcher? I am using curseforge to launch a custom fabric modpack and I am trying to use optifine with optifabric. Whenever I use optifine in the modpack, it just gives me exit code 1. Whenever I delete optifine, it fixes its self but then optifabric doesn't work without optifine in the mods folder.

Need to either use the CF app to make and export the modpack OR an app that supports CF export format structure. You cant just zip the mods and files together and upload the zip.

Manually making a manifest file is a very long process. Easier to let the app do it for you
