As for the mods not showing in the app, could be a small sync issue (restarting the app can help), the mods are for the wrong mc version or modloader the profile is set too. Could be in the wrong folder

Hello, I am trying to use a BSL shader pack on forge with some friends, but I can't figure out how to access the shader pack when I load up the game. I know I can run it using a optifine installation, but I didn't realize it was incompatible with Forge? I am running my modpack on Forge 43.2.7: Minecraft Version 1.19.2 release.

So the other day I opened forge and it gave me a directory prompt. I could've said "ok" and continued but since my C drive has been getting full lately, I changed it to D drive and made a designated folder. Forge and Overwolf are still both located in C drive, this new directory is just for minecraft modpacks. I've been using forge since 2020 and while I've never uninstalled or reinstalled it, I've updated it when needed. After the directory change, I made a new modpack and closed the game again before I realized "hey, I shouldn't have changed the directory, all my modpacks aren't here"

I've since been searching my PC to try and find the previous modpack folder, to no avail.

How to **manually** install a server - **On your own PC**

1. Check if the modpack has a server pack, if it does: use that and skip below.
2. Go to the Forge website http://files.minecraftforge.net/ and download the Installer for the forge version the pack is using.
3. Run the installer and choose Install server. Do not install to your desktop. Also do not install inside a OneDrive folder.
4. Run the server using the forge.jar. A file called eula.txt will be generated. Open it and change eula=false to eula=true
5. From the Client; Copy the mods folder, config folder, and any other folders needed for the pack to work into the server folder. If the modpack has a server pack, use this instead!
6. Run the server again.
7. Port forward your machine if needed. (Google it)

I think this issue is a ram issue because its only Certain mods that don't work for example: DarkRPG needs 4-8 available ram and it wont work but RL craft and a few others don't.

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack.

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

Correct. MinecraftForge or Forge for short is a modloader for minecraft.

Curseforge is an app and file hosting site for games other then just mc. Site supports more games then the app does.

Forge is one of a few different modloaders at this point. Fabric is another modloader for mc that is also supported by the cf app.

Cant really say what is better, Forge vs Fabric as each have their own set of mods and differences tho. But both work with mc (just not at the same time)

Cf app can be used to download pre-made packs made my other users OR you can create your own custom profile and download specific mods with the app that way. What you choose in the end is up too you.

The CF app will handle modloader installations for you. You dont need to manually install forge or fabric.

I think they're deploying beta (black) as the banner disappeared, but it still goes to classic (white) sometimes. Quite not good as certain (a lot) of features are not accessible and feedback about images and comments was not implemented.

if you can use the world on a server version of the profile you're playing, you could kill all witches using the console
(if that's not gonna cause any side effect, ofc, maybe witches are unique in some mod or something who knows, make sure it's safe before you do this one)

other ways would be reseting the chunk using an MCA Editor

Forge and CurseForge are not the same

How to update your mod loader within the same game version in the CurseForge app

1. Click on the modpack profile you are working with.
2. Click on the button next to the play button.
3. Click on the Profile Options button.
4. Select the mod loader version you want from the dropdown.
5. Play!

If you need to update to a new game version, a new profile is required.
