I followed the steps you've sent me. I checked just now and the Ipv6 box is unchecked (as the tutorial tells me to do)
I probably had radmin vpn turned on (what I use to play with friends on local servers). Could that be the cause of ipv6 appearing enabled on the log?

I have it turned off now. I also found a Radmin VPN network connection on control panel and turned off the ipv6 connection, just like the tutorial told me to do on the Ethernet one. I ran the game and still have the same problem

how can i use shaders with mods?

Fabric:

Quick question, I released a update to my modpack, and it's erroring on a mod file, being unable to download it (id being: 632142), which it claims is this mod: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/the-hammer-mod
I don't believe I ever had this mod in my modpack, and I even opened the exported profiles manifest, and the id above doesn't show up in it at all. Any one have any idea why this mod is suddenly appearing when it's not even in the export?

Okay. Just remembered something that might be crucial information (mb). Now I am stuck on this error of clicking "play" and the game not even opening right. However, after crashing the game for the first time I remember the game kinda start loading and then this screen appeared (I didn't take a screenshot at the time but I found an image on the forum similar to what appeared to me, however they were different mods)

No as in deleting it and reinstalling tha pack fresh
When I did "repair installation" i also repaired the profile
I didn't because I was scared that I would lose my character profile on my friend's world but I can try that
Player data is saved on the server host for multi[player. Only things like maps mods data, and such save client side. As well as single player worlds.
Can back up the saves folder before reinstall if you dont want to loose sp worlds

All mods installed using the curseforge app? No mods from sits
Not all of them were downloaded through the app, but the modpack was ran and tested before the export, and nothing was added between test and export, so the export should be up to date, but the other thing is the mod isn't in the instances mods folder. When the games run, it doesn't exist..
Tried importing the export into your app? See if something pops up
I can try doing that.
Running the instance one more time just to be sure it's not in the pack
Also be sure to check the mods folder itself, app doesnt always sync properly

I just loaded the instance that the export is from, there are no items from that mod. So it's not in the mods folder. I'll try importing the export now.

Try exporting only your mods and configs folder. Exclude the default confs, rs packs, etc.

Hello, I have a modpack which also has server files for it's 1.6 version. the main reason i sent those instructions are cause it gets you to delete most of ows files, so that the icon isnt accidently kept

Okay, I have an issue with creating a custom profile. I create hte profile, it appears in "My Modpacks", gets stuck on "Applying patch 2 of 6", and then fails saying "Forge Modloader installation failed". I have tried everything on the support site.

You might find content on the website that won't be on the app.
In order to show on the app:
- Projects MUST have a file marked as Release
or Beta 
- Projects MUST be Approved
- Projects MUST have a file marked for the game version selected/loaded
- Projects CANNOT be Expermintal
- Projects CANNOT be Abandoned

when you create a project for approval you go into the queue and when your number is up in the queue it gets reviewed

Not with the cf app. Cf doesnt use the new launcher.
CF does not use the Windows store launcher. It is exactly the same as the other game launcher.
Cf uses a copy of the official launcher tho and uses Microsoft auth system as well.

All versions of Forge for Minecraft 1.13 up to and including 1.16.5 are not compatible with M1/M2 Mac due to Apple removing support for methods used by Forge. This would need to be fixed by Apple.
Fix:
Use a Forge version below Minecraft 1.13 or above 1.16.5.
Some people have reported that leaving the game minimized until it has loaded completely can work

We are trying to release an update for Medieval MC 1.19.2 Fabric that fixes tons of major issues, but every single time we launch the game the 1.18.2 version of Create Craft & Additions gets added back
its happening for all of our developers
it only happens when the Eldritch Mobs mod is installed and neither are dependent on eachother
if we disable it, it gets added to the manifest and is then enabled
if we remove Create Craft & Additions, export, and launch the game on the exported profile, it still comes back

I believe I've seen this before. IIRC, you'll need to make a CF ticket for this one. People have suggested restarting the CF app and OW, and restarting your PC, but sometimes it doesn't work.

I'm having an issue with a modpack that got approved today, i cant install it on the curseforge app. It says mod installation failed. Mod is not supported by the application. Is it just because it was approved today? or is there an issue?

In order to show on the app:

Aight maaaan. Trying to create a new modpack. The profile creation works fine until "Applying patch 2 of 6". It then breaks and says "Forge Modloader installation failed". The "Learn more" link takes me somewhere basically just telling me to click 2 buttons and try again. Any ideas?

Hello, I'm having an issue with CurseForge, when I try to make an instance of 1.18.2 on for Minecraft java with the latest version OF FORGE, whenever it gets to "applying patch 2 of 6" (it for some reason always starts on 2) it sits there for a minute and then the install eventually fails
I did search up that 1.18.2 is only compatible with forge 40.1.0, I tried that and it didn't work.

because I think that if it was a deleted folder it would automatically re-create itself, or, just make the modpack not work completely
I just manually cross-checked the mods which actually didn't take that long. I may have missed one but I'm not seeing any mods that don't match up with the ones in curseforge.

The files and how they appear in the app will usually always match up unless a mod not on CF and not installed through CF app is added
I must've checked something wrong. I pressed refresh on curse and it said 84 mods loaded yet there are 83.
Not sure what the issue was, but it resolved itself. I pressed repair, refresh then restarted curseforge and it's fixed. Sorry for wasting your time!
Could be a jar in jar. Some mods come packaged in other mods. or just a temp visual bug in the app

You should see a 'wand' on the app when an update is ready. Sometimes closing & reopening the app will trigger an update if there's one available
Closing it and opening it wouldn't trigger an update but I left it open for a while and it got the update. :)

A mod is based on classes. A compressed jar file is completely different from the normal workspace.
A workspace from a mod exist to modify things

you try to launch minecraft bedrock, you need to select java on the left side maybe
minecraft java edition is different to "minecraft for windows". "minecraft for windows" is often referred to as minecraft: bedrock edition. the curseforge app is mainly for minecraft java edition and not bedrock edition.

but yeah, curseforge also has addons for bedrock edition but you don't have separate instances/modpacks like java edition as it's handled in-game, per world. you can open bedrock edition from the start menu

I've allocated 8GB RAM on curseforge for ATM8 mod pack. That leads my operating system with 2GB RAM.
The game freezes for around a minute or two, every 15 minutes. Any suggestions?
It's a notoriously large modpack. The name literally means 'all the mods'. You could try a non stuffed modpack
From my experience atm8 needs at least 12 gb of ram to play without issues

Hi, my modpack (in Aplha) was approved, but it doesn't appear in Curseforge app. A friend of mine tried to install it but it says that the mod isn't supported by the application.

Hello I am having issues updating a mod pack I am playing. I am 3 updates behind and it may completely be user error this is my first time ever playing a mod pack. I feel like I may not have the option to do it.

If you didnt make the pack, click Profile Options > then uncheck Allow content management
How can I upload an additional server zip to a modpack I have made? I don't see an option to upload a different "type" of file

i did still see the onTaskFailed CMD hook detected when launching Minecraft MinecraftErrorCmdHookDetected in the logs zip i just created after restarting
doing sfc /scannow a second time shows no integrity violations

Hi! So one of my accounts name is "hellishmods", I want to change the display name to "HellishMods" with H and M capitalized to easier distinguish the words, but apparently the word "hell" is categorized as profanity. I was told to contact support so here I am.
Info for Project Authors:
When opening a support ticket, make sure to select Author Support in the What kind of support do you need? box.
You also need to include a link to the project and your CF name!
Logs, Game and OS boxes can be ignored when opening an author ticket.

Its limited to displaying 10k mods, but you can still search through the entire catalouge of mods on Curseforge

is there a way to filter mods i'm following or already downloaded? thats my MAIN problem. when i look through 1.16.5 or 1.19.2 mods, I don't want to see the same mods. because i'm basically trying to see some mods that are on 1.16.5 and that are not on 1.19, etc.
because what i did back then, was literally favorited and bookmarked mods that i have already downloaded or knew about, and then i would make a whole macro to open all of the websites, and checked if i already bookmarked them..... yeah.... but i don't want to go through all of that, although if i have to, ig.

hello, could anyone tell me why all of my curse forge mod packs disappeared?
Hey, I'm working on a python script that lets people define a list of mods and automatically download them. I have an API key for myself but currently if others want to use the script I'm making, they would either have to use my API key (Which I believe is a big no no and haven't shared or plan to) or make their own, which is what the current instructions for use are. I currently do not have a way to encode my API key into a program of sorts, as everything is just python scripts atm. Would my best course of action be to continue just having people make their own API key and paste it into the config or is there some other way I can have an API key I can distribute for my project?

Hey, I'm trying to use the CF Upload API, but cloudflare keeps blocking me. Any idea how to stop this?
I took the exact same script (same api key, same user agent, same everything), and ran it both locally, and on my prod server. locally, i can execute the script fine, but the response when running it on prod is just the cloudflare html saying it needs to check my connection.
To be more specific, I'm running Python and using requests. Will happily provide my script if thought it would help

Win 7 and Win 8 have been dropped by Microsoft, meaning they no longer get important security updates / patches that win 10/11 get. But like chief mentioned as well, the certs. Can explain that in #💬︱general-chat later if needed

Forge = Minecraft Forge, this is a modloader often just called "Forge".
Fabric = Fabric MC, this is a modloader, often just called "Fabric".
CurseForge = A Website/App that has content for games and serves as a mod manager.
Mods = Individual mod files.
Modpacks = Multiple mods put into the mods folder or downloaded from CurseForge.
Modpack

- Click the Icon for the modpack.
- Click the
button next to play. - Click

Export. - Select the files that should be included.
- Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in
!mc-installpackto install the pack.
This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.
- Go to create a new project
- Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
- Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
- Click the
button next to play. - Click

Export. - Select the files that should be included.
- Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
- Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See
!syncfor limitations and!statusto learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

i downloaded a pack, but i cant get the app to install the server only the client
CF app is only the client, it wont install servers for you. you have to download and extract serverpacks, if you need server help use #🧱︱mc-other-help
