How to set Minecraft to use the correct GPU in Windows

1. Open the CF settings
2. Open the Minecraft Tab
3. Click Change
4. Click in the address bar where it says "This PC"
5. Press CTRL+C to copy the text that is highlighted
6. Close the Select a folder window
7. Click the on the taskbar
8. Type in gpu, you should see a Graphics Settings option, click it
9. Under Graphics performance preference select Desktop App
10. Click Browse
11. In the address bar where it says This PC, click it.
12. Press CTRL+V to paste in the location you got in step #4-5
13. Press Enter
14. Now open the Install folder from the list that shows up
15. Open the runtime folder
16. Click in the Search runtime box in the top left and put javaw.exe in it
17. Select the first javaw.exe in the list
18. Click Add on the bottom of the window
19. Click the Options button on the newly added option
20. Set it to High performance on best GPU you have
21. Repeat steps #10-20 until all the javaw.exe options are listed in the Graphics settings window

Two ways to share a modpack you made with others

Export and Share - For Friends / Small Groups

1. Click the Icon for the modpack.
2. Click the button next to play.
3. Click Export.
4. Select the files that should be included.
5. Send the zip to the people that want it! They can follow the instructions in !mc-installpack to install the pack.

Upload to Curseforge - For Public Release to Everyone

This option will make your pack public to EVERYONE, it comes with extra requirements and will take some effort to set up.

1. Go to create a new project
2. Fill out the information with a proper description of the pack. This should allow anyone to understand what the pack is.
3. Click the Icon for the modpack in the CurseForge app.
4. Click the button next to play.
5. Click Export.
6. Select the files that should be included.
7. Open your Project that you made on the CurseForge site and Upload the file you just made.
8. Wait for Moderation & Sync so it can show up in the client! (See !sync for limitations and !status to learn about the moderation process and how long it will take to approve/decline)

Been having trouble installing "baercraft" on my girlfriends computer. when she clicks install it goes through the process until it gets to "applying patches 2/4" then it stays there a second before saying "deleting files" and removing all the files it downloaded. I am trying to create my own private modpack on CurseForge App but when i click the back button when i am reading a description on a mod, map or resourcepack, it leads to the Mod section when Adding More Contents (Add More Content button), i think the back button is overhauling the other buttons and when i click the Overview, Changelog, Screenshots... buttons on the content description it leads to the others sections, Overview leads do Mod, Changelog to Resource Packs and Screenshots to Maps, it does happen just when i scrolled it down a bit, like this image:

I submitted a file to my modpack for minecraft, and it was rejected because one of the mods I had in it belonged to curseforge hosted project. When I try to export the file again, it also says that it has a mod version that's not available on curseforge, even though all the mods I installed were from the app. Does anyone know how I could find what mod is causing the problem?

it's very possible the pehkui mod file you had was archived by the project author but still existed on your computer. try using the app to delete that mod and reinstall. then new export, then check inside zip for 'mods' folder

Hi all, I installed CurseForge on my laptop (of wich I'm the only one knowing the password) probably a little over a month ago, and haven't had any problems until now. But today, after starting up my pc, I noticed that the entire software simply disappeared from my computer, fortunately leaving the savefiles under the C:\Users---\curseforge folder there and probably not corrupted (I didn't check).
Can I reinstall CurseForge without having the risk of it overwriting my saves or do I have to move them temporaly to another folder? also is this a well known problem and is there any way of fixing it?

CF doesnt use the minecraft that comes from the .minecraft folder, so reinstalling the .minecraft folder doesnt help in this case.

umm i need some help guys. I am trying to install a modpack and i did but when i got into the launcher i tried to run it and it crashes after a while stating that there is a memory issue (running out of memory) What i dont understand is why this is an issue since in the launcher i changed the maximum memory from 4096 to 8192. I have 16 gb of ram. I was looking at the memory limit of the application and it never went over 4000mb so why is this an issue?
