you can probably disable the overlay in overwolf settings, however it is not cureently possible to use CF without OW on windows unless you only want the WoW support

CurseForge App and site do not share the same requirements! You can find things on the site but this does not mean it will be in the app!
For a mod to show up in the app:
- Projects MUST have a file marked as RELEASE
or BETA 
- Projects MUST be APPROVED
- Projects MUST have a file marked for the GAME VERSION SELECTED/LOADED
- Projects CAN'T be EXPERIMENTAL
- Projects CAN'T be ABANDONED
Files can take a while to show up in the app. If your files still have not shown up either your project is new and you have yet to mark a file as Release/Beta or there is issues with the sync system making it slow.

Yes, it meets all those requirements and I use the CD webhook in gitlab to push releases. All builds in CF are approved and 2 have synced to the app but one release has not and I don't know why.

Normal settings for CurseForge, is to hide it in the tray, so you need to right click the tray icon and select Relaunch.
Or if you are using the Overwolf version, you can exit Overwolf and relaunch it

Alright so.. got a problem, may not be fixable may literally just be that my PC isnāt strong enough. So Iām trying to do a modpack, itās kinda hefty but I think Iāve done heavier, it just completely freezes every so often, Iāve allocated 8000mb of ram to cursed forge but it doesnāt really help, I know thereās some about Java garbage collecting or something like that but havenāt tried it, I was wondering if itās possible I simply didnāt give it enough ram or if Iāve given it TOO much, my PC has like 16gigs if ram im pretty sure. Is there like a sweet spot for what you should allocate?

Is there any way to change what mods Curseforge displays in custom profiles? Specifically, I am making a custom Minecraft modpack using Quilt (Through JumpQuilt) and I want to have the Add More Content section display Quilt or Fabric mods instead of Forge mods.

What have u guys done? For some reason ever since the pre patch released for DF wow my shift variant keybinds have not been working, tried everything to fix it and nothing worked. Then I saw your stupid little in game window popup so I thought i would disable curseforge and see if that fixed it and it did. Therefore I suggest you make this problem go away or you will find a lot of people will be leaving curseforge forever and it won't be anything to do with blizzard crappy new UI

Hm.. yeah, from what I can see from the logs, it gets an error while it's trying to get so called "fingerprints" from the addons for WotLK, it claims it's.. corrupted and unreadable. I'll forward these logs, to see if any of the real CF-crew knows what's up.

.. I don't know sadly. Haven't debugged many WoW-related errors before. I was just reading the logs, and when they were checking some WotLK-things, it got the I/O errors you described, could also be totally unrelated and I'm reading the wrong thing. x)

the mod 'straw golem' is not updated correctly to newer forge versions. known issue here - remove it and/or contact the mod author. tbh they seem to have been doing the mod updates in auto-pilot mode for several versions now.

i can run the vanilla minecraft launcher - im assuming thats a .exe and the only thing i did was delete minecraft.exe from that folder, which ive done before, and curseforge has reinstalled it which is what i thouhgt would happen again now and fix all the weird bugs my curseforge adn launcher has been doing for at least a week now

Hey guys, good morning. I'm currently on Curseforge for MAC, and it doesn't seem to want to auto-update any addon, even when I individually flag them to auto-update. Another strange thing is the fact that when it fires up for the first time, those addons that need updates have the Update button greyed out, so I can't actually update any addon. I found a workaround for this, which is right-clicking any addon that needs updating, and toggling off and on again the 'Install Setting' "Auto Install Updates". Any help you can provide?

Thats a bad idea, that is how you break the packs. Better to make your own custom pack then to combine 2 packs you didnt make. Also wont really find anyone that would help you fix issues if you did that.

Does anyone know if there's any official information regarding the curseforge website and connections from Russia? As someone mentioned earlier, the Cloudflare security check is constantly Checking if the site connection is secure Occasionally the Verify you're Human box appears but is not selectable. Other Cloudflare protected sites work without problem and the Curseforge website is available through a VPN. Looking at the connection, some parts of the site are 503 and others are 200.

You can update the mod loader within the same game version in the CurseForge app by following these steps!
- Click on the modpack profile you are working with.
- Click on the button next to the play button.
- Click on the Profile Options button.
- Select the mod loader version you want from the dropdown.
- Play!
If you need to update to a new game version, a new profile is required.
