WebClient errors are from networking issues to your computer. You can try a few things to fix it:
- Restart the computer.
- Restart your router/modem.
- Try another internet source like a hotspot, wired connection or moving closer to the WiFi.
- Pause/Stop other things using the internet. (Streams, music, etc)
- If this still doesn't work, try again in an hour and hope your connection is stable.

Somewhere on the page there is usually a method of contact. Look for one of the following things:

If no contact method exists you will either have to remove the project or find a solution on your own.

My 2 Minecraft worlds are not appearing in the instances in curseforge after an issue with one drive. How do I get them back.
Go to the old folder they were saved in in onedrive and copy them to the new path / modpack you made

the option to include a mod, can't do it unless the author has tagged the thing in just the right way. someone may have made a perfectly compatible mod but because it's not listed for the exact game version the app/launcher wants it's not going to be allowed for download

We have also talked about version locking mod files at upload time too for modpacks

Uploading modpacks using mods that aren't for that version shouldn't be allowed.

on a slightly different note, does anyone know a simple mod available for 1.16.5 on fabric that has a "display block" where players can place an item on them for the item to hover above the block? i did find betterEnd had pedestals but that's a huge mod that has many items i can't omit... unless someone here knows how to prevent players from obtaining particular enchanted books and potions
for me, searching for this sort of thing now on curseforge is just full of forge mods.
also when searching for something on the browser curseforge it only ever gives one page of results from what i'm seeing

Nearly everything on the site is on the launcher. There's very few cases that's not the case. You are only shown what works for the profile you made.

You seemingly have no understanding of how mods work or the site works.
You can't just mix and match any mods from the site you want. Hence why you are only shown the mods that are marked by the people who make them for the version of the game you decided to make a profile for.
If the person who makes the mod isn't saying it works for whatever version that's how it is. It doesn't matter if you can get it running or not. The dev said this is what it works for, the end.
i didn't say i'd downloaded the mods via curseforge to build the pack through the app, i think you're seeing something that just isn't there, maybe i'm misunderstanding that too :/

updating add ons. Vuhdo still says it is out of date. Looking at the downloaded files, the date modified date is 9/15/2021 which should not be the case. When I load out of date add ons the grid doesn't show. for a wow healer, this is hell. Any ideas?

We can't really provide support for the content of mods/addons. There's not very many wow people here that provide support so if the dev has a discord or way to contact them that would be best. Otherwise you can try getting the WoW role from #786424115535544350 and asking in #768028293231542303 perhaps someone passing by will get you a reply.

There's a way to get around not being able to add incompatible (according to tags) mods to your profiles. Download the mods from the webpage and put it in the profile folder.

If it's available for the version you're using, use SpongeForge
Its plugin API is different from bukkit, mind you, but it's designed to work with Forge unlike Magma and all the bukkit/Forge hybrids that are cobbled together

So, my internet went out for 3 hours due to an internet outage...and I found out curse doesn't support offline play the hard way. sigh

Spoke to the CF team on this. They said that any content should be appropriate for the games official ratings. Minecraft's rating is 7+ so that kind of content would not be allowed.

I have a really dumb question honestly since I have been a Curse member for so long and never thought to ask. It isn't support or anything but just a general question. What is the point of the Server Packs, if when you upload them it doesnt actually upload the mods folder so that users can then ftp the entire pack to whatever host they are using? Is it strictly just for the resources and datapacks and what not? I literally only ask this question because I recently upload a server pack since the modpack itself has some client-side only mods that will crash if trying to upload to a server and attempted to download the "server-pack" only to realize it doesnt actually include the mods lol
I mean I know that mods are never included as the App utilizes the manifest etc to retrieve the mods but the app doesnt seem to actually "install" a server pack
Right thats what i mean so when you go to download the Server Pack, you dont get a mods folder. You get the standard overides and manifest and modlist
The modlist.html that is generated of course contains all the mods in it and such like normal

server pack is like a normal zip without the curseforge stuff involved

2.) installing manually thru the website still requires your site to play nice and resolve the mod IDs and allow
downloads to let your launcher import the .zip.
this can cause snags when either the pack you're downloading or one of its constituent mods decides to disable downloading via the API

Scraping the site has always been against the TOS. It's only been mostly ignored due to the fact there was no API to use otherwise and the old team didn't care.
Now there's going to be an API you can use. Nobody is banned from using the API the way it's intended to be.
with this all pack downloads would be broken from MultiMC and GDLauncher if a mod author toggles that setting
