Lowkey I keep forgetting quilt exists until I see things like this I don’t know if I’ve ever used quilt. Now Neo Forge I have used of course it was on 1.20.1 before it had gotten its footing now I use it on 1.21+ and it works great I also like Fabric if I want pehkui. But I will always claim forge as my favorite because I grew up on it, so I am biased. But Neo forge is really good too.

I know for me I put my application in on their weekend and I basically started helping like as soon as I joined this discord even though it was after putting in my helper app and was accepted like the Monday after when I put mine in on a Saturday evening.

For us, its nice to see users helping or even attempting to help, and being honest if they are not sure about something (ie not just giving an ai guess answer). Also nice to see when an actual staff comes in to support, either quietly watching or asking questions that wont confuse the user getting support...

Cuz it:
A: shows us that you are willing to try and help without the need of a role,
B: Shows that you are human and not trying to be a "know it all"
C: Shows us you are willing to learn by asking questions, but not in a way that will confuse the end user (ex asking us after a user issue or asking if we can dm to discuss the issue)

As matteo said, it’s all local on your pc. If you want to save those modpacks if you need to change pc, you can find them in the curseforge folder under Instances. The only somewhat related feature that is saved on the profile is your favorite projects, but you cannot see those on the app for now

From a support standpoint getting multiple pings constantly can get annoying. Issue is we cant just turn off notifications as we would then also loose any notifications about actual discord moderation issues, ex scammers or spammers

Some users also dont like pings for their own personal reasons. Which we do ask others to respect.

I’m going to say one thing regarding this and not argue. I don’t like pings in any way because I have other servers and people who ping me when there is major issues whether personal or server related, so when I see a ping I assume there are issues which I need to deal with with close friends. Also getting constantly pinged while in chat and helping is annoying. I will not go into more detail or argue with anyone about this.
