Do NOT follow the same idea that every other dimse-a-dozen modpack author does and add Create to it. That mod does not belong in every modpack ever. It will tax performance, annoy users and be generally worthless to anyone who knows even a SMIDGE of the mods in your pack.

The answer is almost always the latter. Usually because something outclasses and it's only required in packs that outright demand it. Often making it more of a chore than a novelty.

Also: God forbid we add something else.
You know how little I've seen of Pastel/Spectrum?
You know how much I'd like to see Tetra in packs?
You know how cool it'd be to have Malum to use?
You know how fancy Armourer's Workshop is?

You just never see them. It's sad.

But you can always count on Create to bloat the pack. Even when it does absolutely nothing for the player. I know how to use the mod, but I rarely find a genuine reason to even bother with it in most packs.

Assuming you don't care to grab a pre-existing pack?

Step 1) Make a new pack.
Step 2.1) Select a Minecraft version. I prefer 1.20, but any version that supports Cobblemon is fine.
Step 2.2) Select a Modloader. Most mods past 1.21 use NeoForge instead of Forge, but otherwise up to preference. It only affects what mods you can combine together. (I.E. Spectrum is only on Fabric, so you can't use Forge with it.)
Step 2.3) FORM THE PACK.
Step 3) Add Content.
Step 4.1) Search "Cobblemon" and add whatever ya want.
Step 4.2) [OPTIONAL] Be sure you're on whatever filter you want. Some Cobblemon additions are actually Datapacks!

Trains are fine in concept, but they're basically just bigger Minecarts. All the flaws still attached.

If a server gets laggy? They are unbearable to use.
If you don't have flat enough terrain for tracks? You gotta flatten it manually, which can make entire terraforming projects. Often taxing ones.
If you don't have a big enough area to traverse to even warrant trains? You're better off just walking there.

Personally, I'd rather have tanks-- simply because the ability to freely move around in Create Contraptions opens a lot more creativity, ironically enough.

Also, protip? "Themes" of packs tend to be a bit unclear for most, but always remember that themes shouldn't reign supreme.
Like... don't add Mekanism if you're doing a classical medieval setting, obviously-- but don't stray away from mods like Galosphere or Supplementaries because it's not precisely the theme.

How to install mods in the CurseForge App

1. Click + Create Custom Profile
2. Name it, select the required Minecraft version, select the modloader & modloader version (usually the highest number), click Create.
3. Click the profile icon.
4. Click Add More Content
5. Search and install the desired mods.
6. Start the game!

How to install mods that are not on the CurseForge app

1. Right click the profile picture or Open the profile and click the Icon next to the play button.
