I made a server in 1.21.5 and i want to update it to the newest version, ive looked it up and tried but nothing worked. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Ive put a shit ton of hours into this world and dont want to have to delete it so I can get the newest version

If its vanilla, would just have to make a whole new server and copy (keep a backup) the world to the new server.

If its modded, this can get more complicated as not only does the games base code change between versions, but also modloader and mod code as well.

You would need to reinstall all the mods that your using on the new version IF they are avaliable.

Be sure you have a backup of the world. Or heck make multiple backups. Or copies/zips of the worlds folder.

Dont just go all or nothing with no backups

There isnt. But if you have both packs installed, you could open their respective profile folders and compare mods and such that way.

The performance is not really related to the mod amount or necesserily hardware. But more on the exact mods in the modpack and the optimization you have put into it.
